About one month and a half I asked the community if I should buy a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and most of the people recommended me a Samsung S II. That's what I got and I am happy about my phone, even though gaming on the touchscreen sucks big time!

As for me , mine is Galaxy S II and it's a wonderful phone , you can't go wrong with it.

that sony will cost as much as an iphone easily.

HTC is the way to go if you dont want Apple.

True, but even that price would be good for that kind specifications, the iphone is more or less about the brand name, they are almost not comparable specifications-wise

the price will go down very fast though .

What price range are you looking at?

Either way, I'd recommend you go for a Windows Phone 7 device. They're really easy to use, and even the lowest end phones are smooth for just about anything you would want to do with them.

Well looking at your list id go with the Xperia ARC its a great phone, and doesnt have any major issues that im aware of.

The samsung galaxy S, and S2 are amazing tec phones, with great screens but samsung really messed up with the wifi reception, this is a known problem, and its pretty bad if you going to be relying on wifi for internet. If you can look pass those issues or wifi is not a big thing for you then yeah great phones to get.

I dont think you can go wrong with most HTC high end smartphones either :)

Since you not interested in Apple, i wont go into detail about the pros of getting the iphone 4s, which as it stands now is the most powerfull smartphone and the app store is the best supported of all mobile platforms.

Windows phones is another option however, app support isnt as good as android and ios as of yet. But i doubt ud notice it. I heard these phones are great though :) If your into high end smartphone specs though i wudnt get a windows phone, they tend to be low on specs (not that it makes a difference performance wise).

The HTC Incredible S.It's a bit similar to the Sensation model,the one that I have.I'm REALLY pleased with it,they are easily one of the best when it comes to smartphones .

I assume this is a joke. Fantastic interface? Have you ever seen another phone?

Anyway, my advise is that if you are not in a hurry, wait for Galaxy S3. If you are, then S2, Nexus or Ion should be more than enough. Do not buy anything from that list!

the S2 does cost 500+€, which is an ammount i dont want to spend. (Tho' the Galaxy Note had me thinking about it.. that thing's huuuge! xD)

 

@everyone: thanks so much for your advice so far, i really appreciate it. the ammount i want to spend is around 250-350, i also considered a Nokia Lumia 800 at first, but when i saw it in stores, i was dissapointed by the look of it.. on pictures, it looks amazing, but when i had it in my hands, it was somewhat.. awkward? (at least the colored versions, didnt see the black one.)

@Windows Phone 7: i was interrested in those too, at first. but the evil beeing that is the internet told me that there are close to no apps for that thing, and i like to toy around with new hardware for a month or two. ^^

edit: also, it doesnt look like the Mobiles listed are 'bad' as from what i read, i think i might avoid the Samsung due to that Wlan problem and the fact that Samsung isnt my favourite company of the ones listed, but the others are still options that look good for me. =]


I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!
