HARDWARE: Seems like VGC is overtracking a lot the Nintendo hardware... DS is the most critical case with NO units on shelves.

SOFTWARE: Seems like VGC is undertracing a lot the DS.

So it looks like the 3DS may have actually sold less than the PS3 in 2011.  Meaning PS3 could be #1 overall if our numbers are accurate for it.  DS looks to be overtracked by ~ 750K-1 million.  I'm starting to believe it won't be able to pass the PS2 afterall.  Will be interesting if the PS2 ships at least 2-2.5 million for the last quarter.

Unless Sony have horribly underestimated PS2, they only expect 1.4m over Q4/Q1

But yeah. If they hit that target, and Ninty hits their 960k DS target for Q1, the gap is 2.9m shipped.

After that it's gonna be tough for DS, they're both gonna be in the 2m range for FY 12 so .. I don't see it happening anymore.
