It's a different kind of "press the button to advance" than the one you see in Heavy Rain. Here you actually have some good gameplay to deal with.

Played the demo for my daughter yesterday. Her response: "This is like the worst kind of anime."

This game was already a day 1 buy for me. Now, it's even more day one-ish!! One thing I've learned from making an Asura's Wrath thread--DO NOT mention a PS3 exclusive in the thread title. Those guys don't like anything like that. If you say "Tomb Raider is in the same genre as Uncharted", expect someone to post how much Tomb Raider sucks! It's scientifically proven!

The demo pretty much showed me what kind of game it is.

This game is like Ninja Blade with more QTE which is crazy. I'd rather not play any games at all than play that thing.

the logic you used in the second para is applied to all tho :) for example make a thread in ninty section comparing mario to another non ninty platformer or halo to non exclusive fps, same deal

I wanted to like this game, but after playing through the demo I have to admit that I'm not interested in it anymore.  It felt to me like it was trying to be Capcom's answer to GOW, but at the same time going out of its way not to be GOW, and not nearly as good IMO (at least based on the demo).

I realized that when we had our first pissing contest.  Two beers and she still couldn't piss further than 4 feet. 

Same here, I was expecting something completely different than what I experienced in the demo, it went from a day one buy to a gamefly rental for me, if that.  Just not my kind of game I guess, I hate going into something with certain expectations although from the various gameplay vids I really thought it would be more hands-on, not nearly as much qte as there is.  At least with Heavy rain, I knew what I was getting myself into, with Asuras Wrath it just seems so out of place.
