I'm pretty sure they'll keep it free though. As for features, it's been confirmed by Ubisoft that you'll be having a sort of gamer tags instead of these awful friend codes. Then add the rumored app-store and I can't complain, whether it's free or not :)

if you expect it to be even as good as psn let alone xbl you are going to be disappointed. these networks represent a huuuge investment and sony has a 6 year head start and MS has 12 years (or something). expect it to lag behind just like psn continues to lag.

How can you say that? If Microsoft caught up to Sony in 3rd party offerings after only two gens on the market, and Sony has been in the game a whole gen longer, twice as console king, haven't you learnt yet that things change rapidly, especially when Nintendo puts their heart and full decision power into something?
