Forums - Sales - can anyone actually confirm microsoft and their "win" of 2011

I know this has been brought up already, but i sure dont buy it. Sony had a massive lead and i know that microsoft caught up. But according to VGCHARTZ SONY was still ahead by quite a bit at the end, plus SONY won the last week of the holiday. And now they are back to regularly outselling xbox week by week. Am i the only one that thinks they were full of it or were talking about shipments?

I can. They won. Deal with it.

Let's clear this up, Microsoft never said the words "Xbox 360 best selling console worldwide for 2011".
They said "We're the world hardware leader for 2011". VAGUE

As far as we know they counted Kinect since technically it is a piece of hardware.
We have data that proves the PS3 won 2011. If you don't trust VgChartz data, you shouldn't be here.

Oh, there are a lot who dont trust the numbers here.. we're just here for the lols! lol!

VGC data can't be taken too seriously, I mean there's inaccuracy (10% on average, sometimes far more !) and numbers are adjusted according to NPD, Media Create, PRs, etc. when it's time to adjust. We all should think of VGC data as a indicator, a trend, not perfect data coming from god's words. When they say "this game sold 13.21m" we should think "this game sold around 13m", not even 13.2m but 13m. That's what I learned from using VGC since the very beginning (2006 ?).

Now, I still don't know who won 2011, I can't find the answer...

that's right...

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

There is one thing I am 100% sure that MS is not the loser of 2011. How can you call a manufacturer who sold near to 15m consoles a loser?

Just look at d21lewis, getting ready to pounce in that last image.
