Panasonic 3DO, only game we had for it was Need For Speed. Still have it in my room at home and it still works. They're worth like $100-150 on eBay right now, hopefully it becomes real valuable in the future!

But around 1997 or so my dad got smart and bought a Playstation to take over for the 3DO.

I loved Shinobi, too.  I could only get to the first boss, though.  I'd use my Ninja Magic and that was it.  He'd throw that fireball and it was game over for me.  I never felt cheated, though.  I'm tempted to go to youtube and watch a playthrough of the game to see what I've been missing for decades.

lol ya I remember those days. You must have almost crapped your pants when you saw the difference between NES and N64. I can just remember still being an elementary kid when I got the SNES, and I thought the graphics difference from the NES to the SNES was "AMAZING!" :)

Great story! My is somewhat the same except my first game system was a GBA. My parents bought me a TON of games for it and the only game I ever played was Pokemon! XD I loved Nintendo SO much when I was a kid and when the SP came out my parents bought me that, then the GameCube, then the DS Lite, then Wii bla bla bla bla I'm basically a Nintendo Zombie. XD My second game was Mario then Kirby and those three games are all I played as a kid. :)

GBA is indeed a good console, its the SNES of the nintendo portables!

Nothing wrong with being a Nintendo zombie, I still am a nintendo zombie xD!

Thats probably Nintendo secret power, they get you when your younger with their cute Japanese style games and then your forever a Nintendo Zombie! XD

Mine was the Atari 2600 the Montgomery Wards edition, this was the early 80's, I also used the Ti Computer (I forgot it's number) with the tape drive a lot when I was in 3rd grade (I would get detention from recess just to play it.) My school didn't get computers until I was in 5th grade (Apple IIe)

The first time I ever gamed was on the original video game system with Pong. My uncle had it.

This now answers the question, "Which is older? Amp316 or dirt?"

I was born into a household with an Atari 2600, so some of my earliest larval memories are of playing (or trying to play) Ice Hockey and Combat and Custer's Revenge.
