I know you're banned, but Shiki is far more of a horror than Another is (I consider both to be very much Japanese horror anime)

Shiki ain't no horror LOL it looks like a tragedy so tell me what defines horror ? Is it the the blood and gore ? If you think it's just blood and gore then I guess almost every violent anime out there is horror LMAO.

I can find another dozen or so examples of the show being classified as horror if you want.

I'm willing to bet alot of people don't what the idea of horror exactly means. So what exactly is scary about shiki ? Is it the atmosphere ? Is it the plot ? Is it the characters ? Is it the supernatural aspect of vampires or something ? I want to know what exactly is scary about shiki since I think it's being misclassified as a horror anime. Shiki didn't live up to being the expected horror anime since it dropped the aspect pretty soon once it stopped having any uncanny plot events and when Ozaki figured out the whole situation.

These are the defining elements of a Japanese horror story. Something bad or terrible placed into normal life is what you commonly see. They don't rely on the "Boo!" horror that most Western horror relies on.

You still haven't answered my question on why shiki is a horror anime FYI.

I don't see how I didn't.

I thought your questions were rhetorical. The reasons why Shiki is a horror anime is because it is designed to be. If you don't find the atompshere, setting, characters, or overall plot scary, then it's just not your thing.

No my questions were serious FYI. BTW do you have any evidence to back your claim that it was designed to be some horror anime otherwise I'll claim that it was misclassified as horror because nothing was scary or very uncanny plus it should be be in the mystery and tragedy genre but even then it still sucks pretty hard for trying to do those too. The reason I say it's misclassified as horror has to do with the fact that people associate horror with blood and gore along with some mystery elements but it infact requires more than those such as subtle antagonizing to the whole setting and somewhat supernatural events.

I just watched Non Non Biyori episode 1 and enjoyed it very much. The music, the pacing, the animation, and the dialogue were all good. Loved the tanuki scene to death. It's straight-up comedic slice-of-life, though, so be warned.

Ace of Diamond: Maybe Watch. If you love baseball, you'll probably like. The protagonist seems pretty stupid and I'm sure there are better sports anime this season

Teekyuu 3: Maybe Watch. It seems a lot like the past seasons lots of talking, lots of random jokes and no tennis

Gingitsune: Definitely Watch. While the first episode doesn't seem too impressive, it definitely has the signs of being the feel-good anime of the season. The characters are quite charming and quite a lot is being foreshadowed

Walkure Romanze: Maybe Watch. If this is a harem show, it seems like it will be better than either IS or Freezing. It also has jousting.

Yozakura Quartet Hana no Uta: Should Watch. Seems fairly random but action orientated. Also, seems like it is barely the tip of the iceberg of this show

Unbreakable Machine Doll: Should Watch. This is clearly a harem show but it is a good action show though with a noticeable amount of CGI. I'm not sure what this reminds me, maybe campione

The Yozakura Quartet manga is complex and interesting.  Awesome characters and I love how most of them are featured just as much as the lead male.  Kotoha, the girl who can materialize things like anti-aircraft guns by using words, is especially fun.  The first series was good and the OAVs were even better so I'm really looking forward to this series.  I have a crush on the goddess who dresses as a nun and loves bears.

Golden Time episode 1 did a lot to dampen my interest. Stalker Girl appears to be The One but I didn't like her at all. Am I wrong to think of her as creepy and mentally disturbed? The main character also seems to be, as is custom, something of an idiot. The other girls were fine, with Linda being the highlight.

Walkure Romanze was okay but it also felt kind of generic. Mio was annoying and stupid. The challenge thing was kind of interesting, though, enough that I'll watch the next episode.

Golden Time's first episode was pretty bad, imo. Will likely get much better though.

Non Non Biyori: Should Watch. It's the lucky star/ yuyushiki/ Love lab show of Fall. Fairly funny

Tokyo Ravens: Maybe Watch. Another action show. It's not particularily better than the other shows so it

Blazblue: Alter Memory: Maybe Watch. it seems to do a goodjob representing the lore of the series but game animes are not always the best adaptions

Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio:Maybe Watch. Too many animes and I completely forgot what happened

Noucome: Definitly Watch. I was laughing throughout the episode. It was thoroughly hilarious.
