I'm not sure if Summer wars and Tokyo Godfathers are dubbed... I watch only subtitled anime with it's original voices.. but Perfect Blue I'm sure is it dubbed.. regardless how you watche them.. those are great movies.. specially Perfect Blue and TGF.. the first is a psicological thirller.. and the second is just a marvelous story... meanwhile Summer Wars is pretty great, i liked it more than the Girls Who Leap trhough time... and I like a lot that movie!
I've had a decent of time to watch stuff, so I'm actually getting some of my backlog out of the way. I've more than halfway through Nichijou and Ixion Saga DT.

I didn't watch it dubbed, but I do know that the voice actors of the 3 main characters did a fantastic job. In a show about an problem that is strongly rooted in Japan, I can't imagine hearing some of the scenes in English.

The aren't bad dubs but as Outlaw said this kind of show really can only be done with Japanese right.
Former something....

I'm just gonna confirm this movie adaptation will be reocrded in 3D base on nothing, because of such movies this year as The Great Gatsby & The Dream Team Battle of the Year & G.I. Joe Retaliation & Harold and Kumaar Christmams (from a previous year) & Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away (2012) & etc.

Just tried the first episode dubbed. I really like the main voice actor so far although some of what he says can sound a bit silly in English. But the sound quality is way superior in English so I'll probably stick with it. 2.0 sounds poor in comparison to 5.1 |
It's never bothered me about 2.0, 5.1 or 7.1 so I can't really relate. When I would decide between English and Japanese, I tend give one a listen in each language.

Best way to do it. I personally stick with what I start with. If I start with an English dub, then it's best to stick with it (There are actual occasions when I like the English dub better). If I start Japanese, then listening to the English dub is like listening to nails on a chalk board. Though I'll say, English dubs have come a long way. I might actually start listenning to anime English dubbed if I buy them (Unless the English dub sounds terrible like Yu Yu Hakusho).
