And all these people streaming anime on Netflix?! My elitist sense are tingling.

Hey sorry for being such a noob but can you guys point me towards something that's similar to Ninja Scroll and Basilisk. I'm pretty casual with the anime but I do like the following: graphic violence, supernatural, monsters, Ninjas, sci-fi and so on. Anything on Netflix would be a big plus but I'll buy something if it seems right. Thanks.

There aren't too many anime like that being made anymore.  Doesn't really have any swords, but Black Lagoon's a good one.

Ok so I just finished watching Code Geass and that shit was fucking depressing. SO anyone got any recommendations for a feel-good anime? Preferably short run less than 24 episodes.
Thank you

Anohana. 12 eps. So you watched both seasons? Nice...that Anime saved me.

If you want a real "cute and fluffy" anime though K-ON or Chunnibyou is nice.

Anohana is far and away more depressing than Code Geass. That's an evil recommendation.

Its good depressing though.

I heard good things about this anime, but there is no cheap version in blu-ray, any other way to see it that does not require piracy?

Nope.  Crunchyroll let their Bandai liscenses expire.  You might be able to hotspot shield yourself and watch it on youtube.

It is a good anime. I have absolutely zero qualms watching fansubs.

Seems Ghost in the Shell is coming back this year.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

What the heck are people watching this season? Its just so dry. I can't remember the last time a season was this uninteresting to me.

This season and the season before it were actually pretty crappy. The best I can offer you is Robotics;Notes (Not as good as Stiens;gate though)
