Well, the 'new system' 3DS was leaked really before Nintendo wanted.  Like the day the DSXL came out and I think it hurt the sales.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

This is what happens when people spread rumors they get all excited then when nothing shows up but a no.

they are mad at least in Game spot , not sure if the same happens here.

You are right and I can dream...but then again....when was the 3DS announced? I seem to remember it being long before E3


I didn't say they won't announce early, but that's only if they feel its better than the many leaks that are coming anyways. PS4 started having leaks in some capacity late last year and another one this year already.

But no company is going to say somethign new is coming until its right for them. At this point Sony's leaks have been minimal and they tend to ignore leaks until an actual show case. Just as they did with NGP/Vita. Include flat out denials, which they also did with NGP/Vita.


I'm not disagreeing with you here but did they actually deny anything about the psv?

The "NGP" was officially announced in January 2011.

Before that most people called it the PSP2.

Its obvious it takes a few years to build anything.

I think, however, this illustrates the point with at least Sony. I'm sure if I wanted to, I could find the same type of blatant denials from EVERY company regarding an upcoming device and rumors about it.

At this point we all know one is coming so he is only denying the inevitable. They'll announce it, just like they did with the Vita.

LOL @ people who actually believed those rumors that Sony would be making any kind of PS4 announcement at E3. It's not even likely that M$ will say anything about the NextBox at E3 either, so why the hell would Sony jump the gun when you know their next console is still at least 18-24 months away.

I can see the PS3 holding out until 2014 due to blu-ray and all its first party developers. Sony however should have learned that launching good tech and to be the last to do so will leave you in 3rd place for an entire generation.

I'm sorry but none of the things you posted proved your point.

Sony would not confirm anything of the sort until the hw was finalized and we know for sure that it wasn't finalized for quite some time. It's true they would start working on it since earlier but that doesn't mean they knew for sure what the final product will feature. For example we know they changed the design of the hw quite a bit and it was also rumored to have downgraded some specs and features..actually I believe someone from sony themselves said they had to exclude some features they initially planned due to costs

second link is the same..no immediate plans. Which was true..the unveiling was a bit off and even at the unveiling they made sure to mention they are finalizing the hw. We didn't get confirmation of all hw specs until much later, closer to Jp launch
