Forums - General - Spartacus TV-series worth it?

Okay now I have watched the whole first season and it was phenomenal. The plots were much more clever than I thought at first and the violence and gore was beautifully made. Also Spartacus himself was sympathetic, I really really like him. And Master Batiatus and Varro and Doctore and Ashur and Pietros and all the female characters, all brilliant. The only guy I didnt like was Crixus but I loved him in the end.

Damn how I like this series.

If you got as far as watching Gods of the Arena, I think you'll appreciate Crixus a little more.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Ahh, happy to hear that! I will start Gods of the Arena later tonight.

FWIW, Gods of the Arena and Vengeance really develop Crixus into a good character.

Episode 3 just aired last night - absolutely brilliant. Best of the season by a country mile. Not the best episode of all time (I think season finalies of both Blood & Sand and Gods of the Arena are the best), but certainly incredible for the 3rd episode of a season.

Despite being 6 episodes, Gods of the Arena is more brilliant than just about anything. By the end, you'll be asking yourself how they put so much into half a seasons' worth of TV.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

This series is just freaking incredible. I've now watched the whole Gods of the Arena and like you said, packed with superb stuff in just 6 episodes.

And yes, Episode 3 of Vengeance was truly brilliant. I am so excited for Episode 4.

How is vengeance? I've recorded the first 4 episodes, but I haven't watched them yet.

Starts slow and you might even feel slight disappointment as some characters are changed but it quickly evolves into something that will keep you very excited.
