ASDA Wii Chart:
Mini Desktop Racing (From the people who brought you Ninjabread Man and Anubis 2.) 3rd!! Ouch! All in all a pretty terrible chart. Hopefully it's confined to supermarkets.

ASDA Wii Chart:

I read a review on Mini Desktop racing on gamefly. I can't remember if it was from Gamespot or Ign but it was hysterical. I was one of the worst reviews I have ever seen.
On a side note- I am waiting for game trailers to do a sequel to it's "Suicide Review" for the Wii version of Ultimate Duck Hunting.

A lot of them, such as the Mini racing, will look very appealing to casuals especially when shops are selling them for around £12. I just hope they don't put too many people off gaming.

Choosing games is like anything in life--you get back what you put in.
If you do no research and buy on impulse, more than likely you will get a lot of bad games.
If you do research, rent games, and make thoughtful choices you will end up with a nice collection.
Why should developers stop making crap if people will keep buying it?
They shouldn't. It's just a shame that there's not enough knowledge of the industry to a) stop ordinary people buying their games and b) allow them to understand that these games are not representative of gaming as a whole.
People can read film and music reviews in newspapers each morning but there aren't usually any games reviewed. Where there are they're usually poor and written by a non-gamer.
Ordinary people don't know where to begin with finding out about games. For films etc they look in the paper and talk to friends. That usually isn't possible with games. If they come across game sites or magazines they wouldn't understand most of what was being discussed.
If the industry's going to keep all these new casual gamers it needs to get good quality reviews into mainstream newspapers.

BS.
I can go on Google and type pretty much any game's name along side the word "review" and get an entire page of reviews for it. Most all those reviews have a number attached. Even assuming that the person looking is a complete idiot, seeing a game like Mini Desktop Racing with a 1.2 rating on IGN (one of the top three Google links) will indicate something.
As for ease, it really doesn't get much easier than that unless you're delving into the realm of "Let's push game reviews onto everyone" via media such as newspapers. I don't like having things I don't care about pushed onto me so why would I wish to subject others to it (even if the content is what I personally like).
I'll say it again, if people are lazy and don't actually put in the effort to look before they leap, they deserve to go splat at the bottom of the pit of stupidity.
The wii has got some painfully bad games on there.
A few bad experiences, and casuals are going to be put off buying more games for it, so I'm surprised nintendos been so hands off in the way it deals with this.
I'm amazed people are willing to spend £30 on somthing they have no idea about, based only on the box. But then... I did it when I was ten too.
@Words of Wisdom
Sorry, but people simply don't do that. Most of the people I know with Wiis are 40+ and several don't even own computers. My Dad likes playing Wii games and I have to turn everything on for him and put the disc in, etc. There is no way on this earth he would be able to work out how to use an internet search engine (I doubt he'd even know what one was.) and search for a review.
To your average person if it's not in their newspaper it doesn't exist. It has absolutely nothing to do with laziness, it's about gaming being a completely alien world. If I didn't know anything about the way reviews work I would assume anything above 5/10 is better than average because that's the way newspaper reviews work. With games it's clearly different. How the hell is a casual supposed to know that?

Funny that you mention those titles I have actually played a few of them to review and they are god awful at best. I also have done some video footage to show the world how bad these games are before they buy them. Hopefully I'm not too late.
