They shouldn't. It's just a shame that there's not enough knowledge of the industry to a) stop ordinary people buying their games and b) allow them to understand that these games are not representative of gaming as a whole.

People can read film and music reviews in newspapers each morning but there aren't usually any games reviewed. Where there are they're usually poor and written by a non-gamer.

Ordinary people don't know where to begin with finding out about games. For films etc they look in the paper and talk to friends. That usually isn't possible with games. If they come across game sites or magazines they wouldn't understand most of what was being discussed.

If the industry's going to keep all these new casual gamers it needs to get good quality reviews into mainstream newspapers.
