Today i felt like talking about a channel/childhood memory of mine that i use to enjoy and watch when i was younger. Growing up, Cartoon Network was my go-to channel. channel 63 (that's what cartoon network was when i was young) was the first channel i learned to type into a remote. Johnny Bravo, Courage the dog, Ed Edd n' Eddy, Powerpuff Girls, DBZ, Dexters Lab, 2 Stupid Dogs, Cartoon fridays, cow and chicken, pokemon, and ofcourse the big one, Toonami were the greatest ways i had to spend my free time. Even after these shows were canceled i still liked some of the (then) new shows like camp lazlo, fosters home for imaginary friends, Kids Next Door, Samuri Jack, and Teen Titans.
WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?! okay now we have shows like the outsiders, survive this, and destroy build destroy (greatest money waster known to man). these are LIVE ACTION. this is a network for cartoons! i mean it would be different if these shows were okay.....but they're awful. The only show that they air now that is decent to watch is regular show. chowder is....meh, I don't like flapjack, TDA and TDI are okay, Adventure Time is also Meh, The Amazing world of gumbal is not good, and MAD is just god awful
They even got rid of their checker board logo (i realize that happened some time ago....but the older one looked so much better). it just doesn't seem that cartoon network knows what they want to do right now, scheduling is random, they're airing preteen cartoons (just give me my childish humor...really), airing live action (WHY) and having only "meh" cartoons. they are NOT disney channel or nick (why doesn't anyone call it nickelodeon anymore?), and airing a lot of things that just bomb quickly (fried dynamite/out of jimmys head) So i guess my question is, do you like the direction cartoon network is going?
Here is a video explanining the history of how Cartoon Network Rised and Fell from glory. (Note: This video is kinda dated)
