I was going to ask if that slot took CDs, it would be a neat idea after all, you could turn down the in game music, pop a CD in and have both the games sound and the CD through the same speakers (unlike my friend who used to play F-Zero X on one TV with sound off, while playing a CD from his PS1 set up on a second TV)
I know it obviously can't take CDs, (the CD would pass through the "sound hole" or whatever it's called on a SubW)

Well considering that Guitar hero for the wii had mono sound and almost no one picked up on it, it doesn't surprise me that they released only 2.1 auido setup.
But you people got it all wrong. They developed that thing just so they could do this wiifit add:
