WE WANT NUMBERS!
Vita will be the first console where retail sales will genuinely be an inaccurate way of determining software sales. Out;ets are going to have to start re-evaluating how they track sales of Vita games.
Can make an educated guess based on how many Vitas sold and how many physical copies of games sold as well. (maybe)

This could work out to be good.

I suspect it may be in line with PSPGo. Else, we'd have the numbers given to us on dinner plates and a side dish of gloating.
I doubt that the mindset changed that fast from PSPGo to PS Vita. PSP Go was DD only and it failed - even in Japan. So: figures please.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
I would think Vita PSN sales would be around 50-100k in the first two days. There are already 7 games that debuted in the top 40 in the Japanese charts.
Interesting. I'd guess for the Vita it might be 'more' possible to use leaderboard numbers or something to estimate total number of sales on certain games, what with the system being tied to one PSN account and stuff. Obviously only certain games this would work on, but it'd certainly give you some metrics to apply to retail vs digital vs total sales and thus have some very rough way of estimating digital sales. I'm not sure VGC has a choice but to try do something like this.
I think this is definitely the first console where digital sales are actually going to matter. Albeit it depends on if they get the pricing right or not still...
