I can see them making a profit, but if they're too focused on that profit to realize they lost 66% of their consumers in their most valuable region, Squeenix deserves to go under.

And what did Square Enix announce this very day? An exclusive DLC for X360... Those idiots are looking down on the super majority of their fan base! They shouldn't be surprised to see sales collapse after having treated PS3 players like dirt for years. I'm playing FFXIII-2 right now and it is indeed a good game (like FFXIII by the way no matter what haters are barking), but SquareEnix is just damn losy as a publisher.

about the 500k part we'll see about that next week or even when NPD releases Dec. sales, i dont think i will be off by a meaningful amount.  Many prior thought that since last week was 100k difference then this week would be closer or tie b/c of FF we are here now and its clearly mid 200k, they also assumed the week ending 24th would be around 300k gap between the two, in the end i may be incorrect but my claims will have not misinformed anyone based on the whole 360>PS3 in 2011 deal

FFXIII really did seem to foul the nest.  Sounds like -2 has better reception though so it may see a bit of legs if word of mouth gets around it's okay.  Following on from the whole FFXIV debacle - not to mention very odd switched of apparent allegience between Sony/MS as they tried to appeal to East/West at the same time -  SE really have had a bumpy gen overall.

Wonder how -2 will fare in the West now?  And what this will mean for Versus - that's still in development right?
