People who know nothing but Money,Power, and Cheating will never see the light of Jesus. Even people who proclaim they believe are suspect. The way you act is how i determine if you actually believe in Jesus Christ. But hey religion is falling to the side as Science becomes more and more prevalent.

Well, we might as well move forward from the Bronze Age by now...

You have your belifs and I have mine. I ask that you respect mine just like i respect yours.

- Jesus' birth story is most likely a fabrication

- He went to India and learnt Buddhism and Vaisnavism

- The Christianity lived out by his 'believers' is very far removed from the ascetic, simple lifestyle he practically showed

- He was most probably a vegetarian

- He possibly never drank any wine

- He never stated he was the only way

- We should worship the Sun once again (the Moon, earth and elements also)

Ok, so which one of those points do stand by most strongly? More importantly, are any of them false?

So Noble you think this current assocciation that we have between Christmas and Jesus is fine? I say move his birthday so that people who know nothing about religion don't get the wrong idea.

I tell myself every time: ''He/She is happy, leave them be...You've been sorry for 'getting into it' so many times. Why can't you just LEARN''

That said, you have my full support for the underlined.

Your comment above really made me chuckle. I'm curious where the number 5 came from though. Obviously you are teasing/joking with the statement, but do you, as VGChartz's most active member (from what I can see) keep different lists of members with their respective post histories and stuff? You know, kind of like a crazy murderer's room with pics and notes and blood on the wall and stuff?

:-|

Meh, leave Christmas as it is.

While its true the holiday is not the actual day he was born, it doesn't matter t those who worship Jesus. However you can sort of figure out when it was based on the story in the Bible. Just have to figure out when the census ease taken. For one those were always during summer.

Wishful thinking.

On topic I agree that we shouldn't make a big deal out of Jesus' birthday even if we knew the exact date because those are pagan ways. A Christian should celebrate Jesus every day.

Correct me if I'm wrong but no specific dates are given for his birth, and I doubt that the Jesus that we know in the bible ever existed, most of his story is either plagiarised or lacks any historical evidence -- but that's for a different topic :P

I think christians may aswell continue to celebrate christmas as the birth of Jesus, it may not be accurate, but it's still symbolic right? It's just unnecessary to move it.

If the problem is people being ignorant of the real origins of christmas, maybe this should be taught in R.E?
