My God this thread is full of fanboyism on both sides. Does it really matter at this point in the life cycle? Both Sony and MS have their own ways of handling exclusives. Sony releases exclusives more frequently, but they tend to not sell as well and not as well-known outside of gaming communities. MS on the other hand might not be as frequent, but they focus more on the blockbuster IP's that they know will sell well and get recognition.
Even this year MS had the Gunstringer, Kinect Sports 2, Disneyland Adventures, and Sesame street for Kinect(which all got good reviews), plus plenty of 3rd party support. This year MS had 6 first party games(not including Halo Remake and Dance Central 2) and Sony had 8(not including collections). Pretty close in numbers, but Sony gets more recognition from the gaming communities because focus on all "core" games, while MS tried to divide it evenly between "core" and casual. Kinda silly MS gets ragged on for it, but "core" games are very stubborn with their games and having Skyrim, BF3, Batman, Dues Ex, Portal 2, L.A. Noire, Gears 3, Forza 4, AC:R, Rage, and more just isn't good enough for them.
