Forums - Gaming - Bethesda n PS3

iam sure it angered PS3 owners that Skyrim won, some went as far as saying they dont deserve it.

looking at bethesda history of games on the PS3 its obvious that they are only good for PC and 360 even though they claim they can do it well for the PS3 but its full of sh!t and we all know it.

Quite frankly instead of hurting PS3 owners by giving them a poor port of a game just forget to develop for the PS3 altogether.

now before you comment saying they should learn from sony first party or other 3rd party developers, i dont think bethesda would want to do it.

it looks like in bethesda interest to give PS3 owners the short end of the stick.

Or spend an extra year on it like they did with Oblivion. Wasn't the ps3 version of Oblivion supposed to be the best? I can't remember.

 WII Code: 1732 3363 1704 6441

Oblivion came out 6 months late and it was better than the 360 version, close to PC on high with the resolution at 720p. Then every game after that was horribly filled with bugs. What happened with them?

I am at 10mb save file now. The lags and the loading times are starting to get on my nerves. Oh well...

Secret payment by M$ to make all PS3 versions bad!

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

It wasn't the fact that they spent an extra year on it. It was the fact that they outsourced it to a developer who knew what they were doing.

Or sony could have made a console that isn't a pain in the ass to work on , and isn't too much relying on CPU (like a handheld device) but rather more on RAM and GPU (like a PC)

why does it rely too much on CPU but most of the CPU load goes on the XMB ? and whats worse is that most of the XMB load isn't really useful stuff , like dynamic moving icons, and dynamic video chat plus bluray streaming, who gives a crap about all that?, instead they should remove dynamic icons and have Cross game chat for example, and redesign the XMB to stop it from raping the CPU , and RAM , thus making more memory for developers, the PS3 is designed the same as an Phone, it's main point is fast "Snap-in-Snap-out" multitasking, but PS3 doesn't need that, because you can't even use most of the XMB while ingame anyways, so its a mess.

Short end of the stick? Dare I say...short end of the arr-
*is shot*

I like Skyrim, it a fantastic game, but the occasional freezes/lag/glitches do get annoying, if bethesda doesn't fix these issues or atleast make an effort to improve their preformance on their next oblivion games(as I don't like the fallout games) this might probably be my first and last bethesda game

Did not anger me at all, the PS3 problems are over stated. I played 70 hours of Skrim to get to 9 mbs with hardly any problems. If you have played up to 13 mbs to get incredible problems you must love the game and are just being overly whiny. The internet is such a drama queen.

Edit: Also had very few issues with Fallout New Vegas with about 70 hours on PS3. Most of the glitches were just plan funny. And my Oblivion game of the year addition ran smooth as hell and had no glitches I remember during my +100 hour journey.
