thats why you don't buy a console at launch? not everyone wants to buy consoles at launch.

i know that not everyone can afford it... but that is why xbox sold 1.2 millions in a few weeks ago, so late into this gen... not everyone need to buy day 1...  "don't know how to keep it into their pants" people, have to pay for that premium price, but i prefer that instead of weak HW for the whole generation.

lololol, not going to happen. I could see up to $400 (...maybe) but no fucking way is nintendo that dumb especially when we're going a few years past seeing how much a $600 launch stalled sony this gen. history is doomed to repeat itself but not this soon.

I'm still not convinced the controllers will be nearly as expensive as people are predicting ... After all, a company has already announced that they're working on a $35 tablet for India and believe they can get the manufacturing costs down to under $10. Certainly, this will not be a good tablet but it should be a sign that the Wii U controller probably won't be sold for over $100; and, I would be betting on $80 to $100 with a bundled game like Wii Play.

One can hope, the price of controllers and peripherals is one of the greatest weaknesses of the Wii in my opinion. That, and costly games. When games are so much cheaper to produce on one platform, it makes little sense to charge more for them after a while (they have started releasing some under the "classics" label though).

If they do that Nintendo dies on the spot!!! Honestly they're smart enough not to make such a silly mistake... I heard via French websites that Carrefour priced the WiiU at 450€ but I rather think that it was just a random price so as to list the preorder.

i hope so! would have something to laugh about then.
(But i think the chances of beeing successful with 600$ are higher than 5 years ago)
