People would have to buy a controller to play Zelda and they already found out with skyward sword that it doesn't bode well for sales. All the new things they added with motion plus could easily be duplicated with a second analog stick similar to how okami worked on ps2. Basically everything zelda did could have been done on a standard controller fairly well with a second analog stick. If anything they could easily input multiple control schemes to cover all their bases like with Brawl or Mario kart but I doubt Nintendo would do that. |
So it has stopped selling after three weeks?
What sales are you comparing it too? Read my other posts and if I haven’t explained it then tell me what I missed

Well, you seem to be missing the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess. We don't have a breakdown for its sales, though, so it won't be easy to add in. However, you can probably add in between 20% and 40% to your Twilight Princess numbers to find the combined sales for it.
I personally doubt Skyward Sword will have a chance at beating the combined Twilight Princess sales (they're currently at 7.76 million, and will pass 8 million. It was at either 7.15 or 7.25 million (my post in this thread (http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=117692&page=1) indicates it was at 7.15 million, Khuutra's opening post indicates it's at 7.25, but his has probably been updated) a year ago). It has also sold 160k in the past month (source: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=136180&page= )
So, Twilight Princess has sold roughly 600k in the past 12 months, 160k of those in the past one. Nintendo sequels tend to give their predecessors boosts, so 8 million is a shoe in for Twilight Princess. 8.5 million isn't out of the question.
Skyward Sword just has no chance at that whatsoever.
Personally, I'd wager on it ending between the original Legend of Zelda (6.5 million) and Ocarina of Time (7.6 million), which would put it as the third best selling Zelda, behind Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess.
