even though it is impossible would be pretty cool

Lol. Pretty sweet, but confusing.

How is it confusing? The author is pondering whether it's possible to really create the worlds in SMG within the bounds of actual physics. Then he just uses a bunch of math to say that it might be plausible. Of course, considering his math is pretty simple stuff, I doubt it's complex enough to really say it's possible.

Those formulas are WAY easier if one would just write em down instead of using the computer ...

gravity formula = g = (m_1*m_2)/(r^2)... But if writen down, much easier ...

It's just the laws of Newton... XD... Put to the test on Mario's planetoids... I can figure that out myself... In fact, i just had a test about it... It wanted me to calculate the weight of the comet Haily if it had a certain orbit around the sun (oval)... With the gravity of the sun calculated in it and varying when the distance between the two masses changes. formulas look something like this: 6.67*10^-11. The mass of a moon from a planet in this solarsystem i calculated was: 2.23*10^15 kg... That stuff...

THE NETHERLANDS

mmm well that guy is using feets, meters, and seconds, that is not very good, i dont like english units, at leats not for making physics problems

Kinda cool except where he uses FEET in a physics calculation.

Stupid Americans...

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

Super Mario Galaxy is suppose to be for Fun not for science explainations

He could have used meters in the real calculations, but simply mentioned feet in the article to make it clearer for those like him and me who are American and can get a better grasp on how big something is if it's in feet instead of meters.

I didnt like mario galaxy IT was repetitive fighting bowser a couple times, so i took it back, and got blacksite area 51

They're ENGLISH measurements, you know, from ENGLAND.

Anyway, metric should be used in physics, but it's not like feet are some imaginary measurement...they can be used if they want.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

The English stopped using their own system decades ago. The US was suppose to drop the English system too except we backed out and now, we're the only ones using it :(

Oddly enough, everytime I have to do some engineering calculations, I absolutely hate it when they give units in pounds. I always have to find the mass and dividing it by 32.2 ft/sec^2 usually produces a neverending decimal. However, I like using feet for some reason. To me, ft-lbs sounds cooler than Joules.
