How is it confusing? The author is pondering whether it's possible to really create the worlds in SMG within the bounds of actual physics. Then he just uses a bunch of math to say that it might be plausible. Of course, considering his math is pretty simple stuff, I doubt it's complex enough to really say it's possible.
