There is no way it will come even close to 1 million WW next week. It will probably drop by 50-60% in the US and gain 5-20% in Europe whilst staying about flat everywhere else, so it has no chance I say.
A 2nd 1 million week for 360? | |||
| Easy, I'd bet my house on it | 19 | 16.52% | |
| I think so, I'd bet my cousin's house on it | 8 | 6.96% | |
| Maybe, it's 50/50 | 17 | 14.78% | |
| Unlikely, but could happen | 28 | 24.35% | |
| I think not, now give me your cousin's house | 19 | 16.52% | |
| Snowball's chance in hell springs to mind | 24 | 20.87% | |
| Total: | 115 | ||

At the local Mediamarkts, they have a palette (no longer..) full of the XBox Special (250G XBox, GearsOfWar3, Crysis2) for $199. _Six steps_ next to the palette is another palette with the regular XBox (250G XBox, no software) for $229. One might _think_ that this second palette remains untouched, but noooo... - makes you wonder about people's shopping ideas.

For starters 26% fall would take it down to 890k.
Previous years it didn't have such a ridiculous boost.
The higher they climb the further there is to fall.
2008 and 2009 saw it climbing less than 2010, and it fell by 15-16%
2010 it climbed 98% and fell 26%
2011 it climbed 161%
It will fall by at least 30%. And I wouldn't be surprised to see it fall 40% (My previous post in this thread may have been underestimating a bit now I managed to find the charts, I am expecting somewhere in the 750k-800k region)

yes but last year the United States didn't make up such a large portion of worldwide sales. Comparing the drops in each territory we see that last year in the United states 360 sales dropped 44% after blackfriday. So a similar drop will mean the 360 sells 535k in the United States this week. Its europe sales are lower then last year, so even with the same boost as last year it will sell 190k next week. In the rest of the territories it sold 90k last year. If it sells 100k this year that brings it total sales to 825k, short of 1mil, and thats only assuming the same drops as last year. I think the United States drop will be even more unless stores still had some of those black friday deals this week.
USA numbers are in now and yeah the 360 has absolutely no chance of hitting 1 million this week.
No, USA data just came out and Kinect adventures = 375,000 so thats half a million - 600,000 360's in the US MAX maybe quarter of a million in the EU if they are lucky and essentially nothing anywhere else, no more than 900,000 this week. PS3 will get within 200,000 maybe 150,000 of that easily.

Cool. I now own 23 houses. I expect title deeds to arrive in the mail within a month, or I'm gonna sue!

It probably doesn't help that a Costco has sold out of Kinect and doesn't know when they will get more. It reminds me of the repeat from last year when X360/Kinect was selling out of major retailers.
