England needs another strong conservative leader like Sir Winston Churchill who actually had balls to deal with foreigners like a true leader. Its too bad to see civilization that ruled half the world coming to an such a agonazing and humiliating end...and the worst part is, they did it to themselves |
Err... we have a conservative gorvenment in power (which is the government thats making a mess) and England's doing just fine... Assuming you're from America, you should worry about your own country since it's the US that seems to be the failure of the developed world in many ways, or at least a country that actually is struggling, and not England.
@Bolded Lol what?

LoL not even going to watch the video, it has been "banned" in certain aspects mcdonalds can no longer say christmas ,its the festive season.
some schools no longer have the nativity play at christmas because head teachers belive it will offend other faiths, I mean come on really? the idea of calling it "winter light festival" rather than christmas
why do some people not have a back bone any more
|
Why do some people not have a backbone? I assume that you're not referring to me, because I think I've made it clear that I feel I can say Christmas freely to whoever I like. Christmas , Christmas, Christmas. See nothing bad happened.
Or is it because I know I don't have to play the underdog? It's a shame that you didn't even have the courtesy to watch the video I provided, because it really does explain well why terms like "Winter light festival" are actually used. It's not the banning of christmas at all, it's a banner term that refers to the multitude of religious festivals during that period*, each one you can refer to individually if you wish.
Look, I live Birmingham, the city which infamously "banned" Christmas, when in reality no such thing occurred. Hymns and carols were still being played in shops and the annual Christmas market carried on as it always has done. It was that Birmingham has very large Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu and Sikh populations. So when all the festivals during that period were referred to singularly, it was called "Winterville", but each festival could be referred to and celebrated individually too. It was only when it hit the papers that this turned into a "ban".
As for Nativity plays, that is at each schools own discretion (schools are supposed to be secular institutions after all). If a school has a significant amount of students from many religions, then it may feel it is in the best interests of the students to put on a secular play. It's not banning Christmas or anything, students are still free to celebrate it if they wish (give cards to classmates, etc). You may not like it, but some schools may like to have a secular outlook in order to accommodate their wide variety of students, whilst respecting the students personal right to celebrate their own religious festival. This is perfectly reasonable, I don't see the problem.
Let's face it, if you wanted to, you could run through the streets covered in St George's crosses bellowing Silent Night out and you wouldn't be prosecuted for it because there are no laws against doing it.
*Christmas (Christianity, Islam), Ashura (Islam), Diwali (Hinduism), Hanukkah (Judaism), Winter solstice (Pagan), etc.

Because in the VIDEO, you can see that they are infact pretty much all white, i didnt see no blacks in the crowd. |
A-ha, a double negative. So you did see them in the crowd :p
I watched the video, you can see a lot of white people, granted. But to assume that only white people were respecting those who fought for our rights is pretty strange. I mean, all over the country I saw non-white people paying their respects. The video isn't the be all and end all of those who wear poppies. To try and characterise the poppy as "white" is just a strange tactic, when it is clearly not. Again, why not just say "people" and not racialise the poppy?
Even so, these Muslims were Anti-British army (or crusaders as they would probably say), which is not a racial thing in itself, it's an anti-army thing. The British army is made up of people from all backgrounds, even historically with the royal Gurkha regiment, etc. Their acton, whilst disrespectful and shocking, was not racist, it was only racist by those who wanted it to be racist so they could use it to their advantage. They were protesting against a group that contained members from all ethnic backgrounds.
I'm sorry, but I don't actually think that is a racist issue come to think of it. An example of a racist issue is the woman who you claimed had been arrested and sentenced in a day (when she wasn't) for shouting racist obscenities at pasengers on a tram.

xD How so? How is Englands national and religious identity slowly coming to a humiliating end? What do you even mean by religious identity? I live in England, so I think I might have a more accurate image of it than you do, and it seems to be doing alright. I think you're being a little melodramatic.
Muslims make up 3% of the population.
But don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly a fan, but I think you are being way over the top. What humiliating end?

No your right im not reffering to you,im reffering to the odd people in those cases, I could find loads of them and I know those articles are only cases here and there nothing massive, but it's not even the " minorities" complaining, in those articles its always a white woman/man who thinks there are doing something great for the minorities of the country by sticking up for the when quite frankley i dont think they care, I Wonder if these people are almost afraid of the minorities, and ass lick to get in their good books
aha you live just up the road from me then, I'm from kiddy
