Forums - Sales - Global Up!! 19th November (Europe Up!)

Why are Region breakdowns not on the front page, that's very lame.

Around the Network

It looks like every time the web site is updated or upgraded, some functionality or data aspect is removed.

I recall removing the forum browser where now, you have to go to index page every time to switch from forum to another. Next was switching from free community to paid community where users like us who has been part of this website is only getting partial data with the option to pay to get full access.

And today, a new setup comes out with less data and less regional break down and eliminating regions where basically Wii and Sony has stronger presence that Microsoft.

Future looks gloomy if the less pattern continues

Hmm the worldwide chart has Uncharted 3 at about 170k for the week and 1.8m LT, yet when you click on U3 it shows 1.53m LT...1.53m + 170k= 1.7m. Therefore that means that U3 was undertrackedzZzZz by 100k lol. Anyway my point is...GO UNCHARTED!!

Only the Top30 in the weekly SW chart??? I hope it's temporary and it will include the Top50 again when the transition is complete.
Anyway, nice week in Japan, and WW too, globally PS3 has a small rebound, considering it's the week after CoD and before BF. XB360 has a far larger and less justified one, considering this week it has not only AC, but Halo Anniversary too, although it's quite normal for XB360 to have more extreme ups and downs.
Nintendo holidays boost is starting.

Only top 30 is a HUGE change if it stays, i'm really suprised more ppl havent commented on that. We went from top 200?, to 50, 40, 30....really dissapointing if only top 30.

Indeed. Let's hope it's just temporary until the site and the games database are fully reorganized.

I love these new charts so much. I guess I never should have doubted the 360 seeing as it's still in first place for consoles this week and next week it will be over a million because of Black Friday.

Halo CEA sold disappointed me though, hopefully it has good legs.

I highly doubt that. 600-650k in the US => 700k in Americas+250k in the other places = 950k. I predict 900-950k

You just made this prediction a few minutes ago and then MS goes and announces that they sold 960k BF week just in the USA. ;-p

Looking forward to BF week WW numbers.

Wait can't we see the numbers divided by region on the front page anymore?

For the very reason VGchartz can't stand the Japanese funny sales numbers and EMAA PS3 surpasses of 360.

It's much better with Europe on the front page rather than the UK. Just putting the UK would exclude all of the big continental markets - Germany, France, Italy and so on. Alone, they're not huge, but together, they are.

1. I really don't get why there are many people start to complained the charts before they read other treads to know there will be more separate charts coming soon. Is it so difficult for them to accept a change? Do these people prefer to have a "make-up" WW sales figure with big margin of error rather than some more accurate sales figures although split in separate regions? I think VGC now use a very nice way to describe the trend of game market because USA+CANADA+JAPAN+UK+FR+GER+SPAIN+ITALY really can present >75% of the global market. So in my opinion, to call it "global" sales is fine even it is not included other PAL countries, Latin America, Middle East and other Asian Countries;

2. I think if VGC can add more separate charts like Benelux, Nordic countires and Austrilia, it will be much better to present the "global" sales than now and it may help to avoid some trolling in the tread.

I found many comments said the changes in VGC is because this website or the team behind this site is in favor of XBOX360. Come on, stop saying this. There will be more separate charts coming including GER, FR, ITALY and SPAIN. If I am not wrong, those countries are SONY lands. So after the upgrade is done, can you still say this site is trying to hide SONY strong regions but only to show MS strong regions?

In the future, in this site there will be,

MS lands: USA + UK + CANADA (maybe, I don't know this market)
SONY lands: GER + FR + ITALY + SPAIN + JAPAN

So can I say VGC in fact is more in favor of PS3?

LOL...
