sure it is. it is one of the best this gen. not the best but top ten for sure. it could be even better with better gameplay like better aiming, better and more challenging puzzles and challenging climbing (it's really not more than climbing without any difficulty) , BUT aldro is a little bit too crazy like the groupies of a teen-band and if i look which taste most crazy groupies have (buying everything of their idols) and wouldn't know how good uncharted 3 is, i would think it has to be shit if someone acting like aldro and beeing like drakes overacting groupie.
he's doing this for weeks now. hell he even did this before release he was so freaking crazy before release it could be the worst game ever he would still think it's the best of all time lol.
playing through a game ten times in three weeks or so is really crazy and it was clear he will sy this to the 3d mode. he would say this even if it would be only half as good. i don't say the uncharted 3 d mode isn't good, only that it doesn't say anything if he says this because it's uncharted

Thats my main complaintments of the game; but the overall experience is richer than any other game. Top 10 this gen, glad you feel that way ^.^. For me its nr 1. Were you here in 08 when I went mad in the exact same way over Metal Gear Solid 4? I have hyped games over the past here but the reason UC3 is so high aside from the graphical praise, is because after WHAT I saw ( and you must know how much I spoiled it for myself by posting videos about everything XD ) I was so amazed and once I finished the game, I thought to myself: Best game ever for me.
Uncharted 3 made Uncharted my favourite franchise of all. I loved Uncharted2, its in my top 3 games this gen. But my god, UC3 managed to not just beat it, it beat God of War 3 and MGS4 too and anyone here knows how much I love those games, ESPECIALLY MGS...
So yes, pardon me if I am coming on too strong, its just the way I am when I experience greatness... Greatness.. from small beginnings.

Played it on an 11th playthrough (I watched my mate play it though, I stayed the night, we played until 4 AM and I just got home). He was amazed by the game and said it's in his top 5 games this gen (Right there with MGS4, Halo 3, Mass Effect 2 and Skyrim). Couldn't ask for more as he thought Uncharted 2 was overrated xD
EDIT: My friend who loves to watch movies in 3D felt that this shat all over anything he has seen and that Sony should use ND's talent and UC3 to promote 3D because this, just like I felt aswell, was not a gimmick; it really immersified (<- real word?) the game.

So you and your friend think a game that looks so much worse in 3D with jaggies everywhere, and looks like its running in 480P in 3D looks better then anything else ye have seen in 3d O_O, wow ye guys really need to get some real 3d films, and watch a pc game being played in 3d in 1080P or even full 720P with full AA on..

Why don't you stick to your PC and leave the ones who can appreciate Uncharted 3 alone? You're acting like the typical PC elitist who will shove his opinion down everyone elses throat as if it was fact... If we'd go by your self-conceited opinion, then resolution is about the only thing that matters in everything. Truth be told, the way the 3D is used and rendered in Uncharted 3 makes a lot of people really enjoy the game. It's been acclaimed by many critics the world over, and for most who tried the game this way, it improved the immersion and impact quite a lot.
Now, let me ask you this: What's in it for you to argue this senseless matter in such manners? Do you have stock in PC GPU businesses of something?
News flash: You won't convince anyone who likes the game in 3D that it is not great. And they sure aren't here to convince you that what you prefer is dog crap either.

Have you played uncharted 3 in 3d? cos i have so im giving my opinion on the 3D in uncharted 3 and i love the game, same as i did with the first 2,
but the 3D is bad, its so bad its one of the only games i had to turn the 3d off and go back to playing in 2D
And by aldo saying the 3D in it is the greatest thing since sliced bread, when it is far from it is what gave me the need to reply.
Now "maybe" the 3D would look better on a smaller screen, but on a 50" 3d screen it looks Bad!!.
Plus im not being elitest im just laying out facts, and fact is console gamers are not going to get great 3d in their games until nextgen.
This gen they will get between poor to average depending on the game, i know this since im a console gamer, have played games in 3D on both consoles and didnt think any of them was great, as most games cuts the res so much it makes it hard to make out details in the background, AA does be turned off or lowered making things look even worse, one game i did like in 3d was Mortal Kombat :D.
And yes when it comes to 3D if you are playing on a big enough screen res matters alot, i know this from when i started playing pc games in 3D and seen how much clearer and better the effect looked, and still kept all its detail as if being played in 2D. current gen consoles just cant do that.
Now thats not me pushing any type of elitest pc agenda, thats just facts, unless you can show me a console game that can still have the same res and detail in 3D as it does in 2d?, and i dont mean a PSN or xbla game...
