Forums - Nintendo - 50 things I hate about Skyward Sword (massive spoilers)

The only thing so far that I dislike is His ghostly helper stopping me each time I do not finish what needs to be done in a certain area. Then I have to listen to her long speech, before I can finally get away to go find what the hell I missed. I guess the same would go for the knights that save you when you fall off skyloft or whatever his home is called. Cut scenes.

Yeah I think they should just throw you on land and GTF out of there! :P

I don’t get why you can’t whistle to the bird if you fall of the island though…

Some of these points feel forced. But i get the idea and agree with some.

21 for example. Man, that was really weak. I read about a giant battle on Eurogamer and i got in mind that this would be a great different than usual boss battle. But how wrong was i. I've defeated the monster the second time (when he has some upgrades) and all i can say he is a pushover. Really weak for something that was sealed in a stone. It even got some arms in his second form. That for some reason, he didn't use against Link, so there was really no point for them (i think he may use them to climb, but it may take him a couple of days to do so).

That was the thing i really disliked and was expecting more. I mean, still agree that sometimes the pacing is not done very well. But for the most part, the puzzles were still great or simple never take that long.

Puzzles are what Zelda is about. Most of the time we're just solving them to get an special item. In this game we get those items while making our way through the puzzles.

I agree with many of those points, fighting the banned was fun the first time but three times is just ridiculous and annoying.
same goes for those tests you have to do like four times?
I also hated that I had to go back to the first dungeon, that just seems completely lazy by nintendo...

the sky really is not impressive, you can't even fly around during the night, which extremely dissapointed me!

and I like to add that those time switching mechanics are without a doubt really creative but also overused which eventually makes it become one of the boring aspects of the game.

whatever, I still think it's a great game with some awesome dungeons and overall I had a lot of fun with it but it makes me sad that the game could have easily been so much better if only nintendo would've had enough time for the developement!
...oh, wait....

Not far enough in to agree yet. However, sounds like I will start to enjoy the game even less, based on all the fetch quests you mentioned.

As much as I want to disagree with the points, Rol is right.
This is what ultimately makes it NOT the best Zelda ever created. My personal favorite is still A Link to the Past.

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

I have to agree with pretty much every point this guy makes. This is game is clearly not worth the 10 these reviewers were giving it. I noticed it right after the 1st dungeon that I would be disappointed with this game deserves at most an 8.5 but Zelda fanatics are going are to disagree.

I hate how Zelda is becoming more and more puzzle based with each installment. We have one to one controls now and they don't even try to compensate with harder enemies or at least harder bosses.

Nintendo should take a look at Batman to see how make a game with a protagonist who has an arsenal of weapons and can actually use them effectively in fights as well as puzzles.

Why can't there be two or three difficulty settings from the outset? Start you off with 3 hearts in normal with more collectibles harder enemies and bosses and 6 hearts in easy with less collectibles and easier fights. How hard is that to do in this day and age?

to much complaining. i'm sure your enjoying it and have more then 50 good things to say about the game.

My number one complaint about the game is having to come across all the complaints you are finding for it.

My number two complaint is realising most of your complaints are just filler, even though I haven't read them all.

My number three complaint is the ridiculously slow scrolling text in the game.

Zelda cycle is fast.
