The ban was by Maxwell. So yeah, no surprise there. |
There were the days when you could criticize Nintendo's games or actions more on their official forums than here. I'm glad it's not like that around here anymore.
As for your other post - you are right about Motion gaming. I think Nintendo admitted that it's not the only future for gaming with the Wii U. Motion control is going to have a place in the gaming industry, but it won't take over completely. It does add variety to the industry, which isn't a bad thing.
At first with the Wii, I was afraid that "casual gaming" was going to push hardcore gaming out of the way. It turned out that all the generic FPS games did alot more damage to "hardcore" gaming than the Wii or motion control did. I know the generally accepted definition of a hardcore gamer is someone who plays military FPS multiplayer all the time - but that's not my personal definition. I always found that to be casual gaming - even if it appeals to teenage and 20s males (which is why I think it's labeled hardcore). But it appeals to alot of males that were too cool back in the day to play video games.
"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY." --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
