loved kz2 more then kz3 but kz3 played better. if GG can kz4 have more then the 6 main guns, 5 side arms, more then one experimental gun, campaign last for 10hrs or more, and go back to being kz instead of what everyone else is doing then i'm all in.

I hope it's a ps4 lauch title.

From a business view, in my opinion, i would say that Killzone is to dark and hard to be more mainstream.

I doubt it can expand it's audience without changing that. But then it wouldn't be Killzone.

I believe Guerrilla Games will find something in-between KZ2 and KZ3 in order to satisfy both parties. I have a VERY hard time believing they havent understood what made KZ2 so unique. With that said:

I really want KZ4 on the PS3, so that the formula can be fully established and have KZ5 with next gen "feel" and already a safe formula, hit the market for the PS4. Then possibly end it all with KZ6 a lá Star Wars xD.

good news, if Sony handles this right they could have a great launch line up/launch window for their PS4.

GG: Killzone 4 + new ip
SP: currently working on a new ip
ND: their supposed new IP coming out 2014/2015
MM: working on a new IP as well
Santa Monica: new god of war? or new ip

You need to understand that its pure stupidity to launch a console with their heavy hitters like UC, GoW and GT.
Killzone.. perhaps but the big guns, no. There is no userbase when launching the consoles. You gain so much more on releasing games right now on the PS3, then launch-PS4. Yes, it might help sell hardware; but if the recent gen has taught us one thing is that it's not that huge and both Sony & MS are better off waiting for some Multi games and then launching their titles. For MS though, Halo and Gears could move a lot of HW. For Sony, for its games to even sell as well as right now, they need the userbase and they cant afford to take such a risk.

Thus: We are not likely to see UC4, GoW4 or GT6 within the first, maybe second year of PS4. Id say the same for KZ4 but it's not really as huge and it could be marketed like Resistance was for PS3 in which case, it'd work.

Hopefully Killzone 4 in late 2012/early 2013....and a new IP as a launch title for PS4 late 2013.

think it'll be on ps3, 2013 launch last year before we get next PS console

games are in 3s this gen and even past 3 MWs, 3 halos (3, reach, and 4), 3 resistances, 3 gears, 3 uncharteds, and so on

I agree they should leave Killzone for a while, but I personally wouldn't call KZ 3 mediocre. I thought it was a good game, but overhyped. Wouldn't buy it full price, but still a great filler game imo.

They should really try something else, this game series has been very mediocre and outside of graphics really has nothing going for it. I don't know anyone in the real world that likes it (opinions that actually matter to me), and most people only picked it up because it was constantly shoved down their throats by fanatics.
