Forums - Sales - A lot of big games in EMEAA overtracked? Including gasp Halo Reach and Gran Turismo 5

I don't think it's overtracked in Europe really. It HAD to sell out the other shipment for it to get the Platinum edition. Retailers wont order more copies of a game unless they can/have sold out the other versions. (Especially with a profit)

If we say it's overtracked here by 400k or so, that would put the game at 6.3 Million units Worldwide. This would mean it STILL wouldn't have sold out the December shipment, almost a full Year on.

I don't think that's possible.

If it was overtracked by 400k in 2010, then it's been undertracked in 2011.

Those are my thoughts. GT5 sales for 2011 have been weak, and I trust VGC numbers. They are better at tracking games then I am.

This news only reinforces my point about GT5 and its sales outside the 17 countries .

Sony is just shipping the new “Spec II” Refreshed Disc for GT5.

OMG!

GT5 shipped 4 million standard copies for 31st December 2010 for Europe (4.2 million in EMEAA).

PD already released the Platinum Edition on Europe... so GT5 sold something near 4 million in Europe for sure (how many standard copies have in stock in Europe stores befere the release of Platinum Edition?).

VGC had GT5 at 4,189,085 for ALL EMEAA.

Seems like UNDERTRACKED in Europe.

gran turismo is overtracked so stop spinning

Always has been and it's still not going to reach 10 million by 2013 either.

I was right... GT5 was UNDERTRACKED.

Some weeks adjusted up.

Week 1: 2,344,932 -> 2,359,178
Week 10: 73,757 -> 76,765
Week 45: 18,323 -> 19,141

All combined adjustments until Week 49: 6,633,691 -> 6,718,626 (+84,935)

Thanks guys.

How do you check individual weeks now, because I only see the first 10 for Europe, USA and Japan...no global :/

Just when it enters in TOP40... like Week 49 .

The previous data I have tracked in my own Excell here ... the problem is with these adjustments I lost my tracking history.
