@Wagram:
Valid complains?
He said the game doesn't use IR pointer well. The game doesn't use it at all!!

That's a case of poor research, but it doesn't change his experienece, is your opinion on a burger you don't like invalid if you don't know the method by which the cooks prepared it?

I don't think if he knew the game used a different sensing method for aiming that he would have had a different experience trying to use it.

This is more a case of the player not knowing how to play the game for some reason. It's like if someone didn't know that the sixaxis controller tilt affected the player's balance in a game like Mirror's Edge (recently played it so on my mind)...

That player might have his controller tilted and would have a hard time keeping their balance, then they'd blame the game's controls for it when in fact they just didn't know how to play/control it. Same as this situation, one should fully understand how to play a game if one intends on reviewing it

That's why I think the reviewer was wrong in this point at least

They are not reviewing OoT, WW or TP. It is Skyward Sword, which has recived praise for being fresh for other reviewers.

Indeed it has. I'm definitely hoping they are correct. My Pre-Order is in and I can't wait. I think a lot of these people are mistaking what I said for "I agree with it, it's zelda and it deserves a 7.5." Which is definitely not the case.

I think many reviwers were expecting something different. Like suddenly their copies were a first-person Zelda, it has voice acting or returns to TP artstyle. What is more interesting is that some harsh magazines (Edge, CCC, VG, even Computer & Videogames) praise the games, while the 'americans' feel it is 'more of the same'.

We are not complaining about only the score, but how they are complaining because they don't like what they play. As someone posted above us, the reviewer take off points just because he don't like fetch quest, no matter if they are well implemented.

This is why I agree with Adam Sessler in regards that Video Game Reviews should be subject to text only rather than numbers or grades. There are just too many factors that can inflate, or deflate the score.

i just love how people want to protect the crap reviewer with its his opinion bla bla bla!

"i don't know how to drink from a glass of water so that means its probably broken!"

Probably deserving of it if again is just OoT with a new art style.

Surely there has to be a limit for plain ignorance?

Anyway, meh, there has to be one controversial review I guess. Funny that's it's Gamespot again though.

Yeah I was like "wtf" when I read that, but it's just wagram so no big deal

You mean Kyliedog :P Then again Kylie always says similar stuff anyway...

Copy&paste?

The entire site gave me that error a few minutes ago (maybe half an hour) but the "Nintendo Discussion" link at the top of the pages in this thread works fine, as does the link in the "Forum Index", sorry buddy :p
