Dude, I'm really beginning to think you should give up the hobby.  Almost every entry I've seen you post has been basically "this sucks" and "that sucks" and "this part of the game really ruined it for me".  If you can only find a few occasional nice things to say about even your favorite games, I really think you'd be better off doing something else.

Hell, I could criticise my favorite games, but the point of making a "FAVORITE GAMES OF ALL TIME" list is to look at the good, reminisce, and enjoy, not rip them to shreds.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

#25 Paper Mario: The thousand-year door played on GC, released 2004

The first time I played a side view 2D RPG. Wow what an awesome game. I loved it from start to finish and it's a pretty long game. The battle system is very well done. The environments are beautiful, varied and fun to explore. The gameplay itself is all round great.

This game took my by surprise, I did not expect to have as much fun with it as I did.

Fuck, PAL got a much better boxart for Okami Wii...

Metroid Prime 3 is my number 26

Actually that was only a special edition sleeve that was available from HMV here in the U.K.  The standard box art was the same as the US, just minus the IGN watermark.  I bought it from HMV just to get that beautiful sleeve.

Usually American localisation of games involved changing the box art, usually for the worse (Ico, Phalanx, most Kirby games, a lot of Final Fantasies).  PAL regions are usually inbetween getting a mixture of Japanese and US box arts.  The link below shows lots of differences in box art:

http://www.gamesradar.com/why-japanese-box-art-is-better/?page=1

This is true for almost any JRPG. Lost Odyssey I thought had a much cooler box art for EU, and it's a shame. US boxarts for JRPG's are usually so basic and bland.

25. Super Smash Bros Brawl

When I was a kid, the Nintendo v Sega battle was at its peak. Everyone I knew that was into games was asking, who would win in a fight, Mario or Sonic? Fast forward about 15 years to when SSBB is released, and Mario and Sonic are playable characters. The arguments of my youth could finally be answered. This is the great thing about the Smash Bros series, as it allows fantasy cross universe fights. Mario v Sonic, Link v Samus, Donkey Kong v Fox, etc, etc. We can finally find out who reigns supreme. It's a great game to play with friends, especially when there's drinking involved, even if it can lead to a few heated moments. My character of choice fluctuated a little, but I have three favourites. Lucas, Lucario and Pit.

I think you're blowing it out of proportion a bit. While I was quite harsh on the first ten or so games, the pros definitely outweigh the cons in every game from ActRaiser and up. The things I bitch about, like the story or the soundtrack, are fairly superficial in my eyes.

I do know that I'm for some reason just incapable of talking about even my favoritestest things in the world without finding something to nit-pick about. I guess time will tell whether I'm just a wonderful person like that, or if it's just a side effect of being a whiny adolescent brat.

And JSYK, giving up the hobby has crossed my mind not just a few times, (Especially after E3 '11) but then I would have nothing to ease my immense boredom. There's not exactly a lot of opportunities to socialize where I live, you see. At least If you're not a redneck frat boy. Maybe next year, though, when I move into a city to go to high school.

28: Resident Evil 5 (PS3/360)

Screw the haters, this is the best co-op game made this gen.  Every other co-op game with the exception of a few crappy ones just uses a single player game and throws in a co-op buddy.  This thing is design around co-op and has the perfect pace to make it matter.  Wesker was awesome in it and left behind more great quotes than the series combined.

I agree. Resident Evil 5 has incredible co-op gameplay. I've played through the game both alone with AI Sheva and in co-op play with my brother and the experience is so much better when playing co-op. It makes the inventory system more bareable and my brother actually makes good decisions when fighting bosses.

Signature goes here!

#25 Gran Turismo 5

Yeah, I know this game gets a lot a lot of stick but I genuinely love it and think it's better than many say.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

#25 - WipEout 2097 (PS1)

WipEout had a real subversive vibe to it at the time - the concept, the soundtrack, menus, intro sequence, announcers and futuristic sponsorships were all very dystopian. Made quite an impression on me as a kid.

Was a pretty good racing game too ofc ^^

Wow! There I was thinking I would be the only one with 2097 on my list :D
