IGN is saying Sony confirmed that it's 3.8 million sold to consumers.

EDIT: I got beaten, but I was gonna put a disclaimer that it is IGN, so you can't really take anything they say seriously. Ever.

It was IGN. And even more laughable is their statement that the confirmation came from Sony, but they don't provide a quote specifically stating that.

IGN for the most part is a pretty mehish site as far as journalism goes.

They say Sony confirmed it's sold 3.8 million day one to consumers but they don't have proof other than their word to back it up.

I remember MGS4 shipped 3m on day 1 back in 2008. So maybe UC3 is little undertracked here? By 300k if not much more?

it did? where you there at every check out, VGC has been off with numbers before you should know that, halo odst, PS3 HW the past two years during the fall time, COD BO PS3 and 360 last yr and many more

you think your some kinda big man with that comment? its certainly possible that it did reach 1M or within a 10% range of that, you know how many regions are in VGCs EMEAA, PS3 HW numbers have been always adjusted upwards there its certainly possible that the same will be done with UC3

UC3 sold 128k in UK and 511k in all of EMEEA which is just 4 times more then in UK. But PS3 install base is over 6 times bigger so its posible that UC3 atleast sold 650k in others. Because retailers are not stupid and they expect to atleast sell 50% first week.

Could you use some common sense?
If Uncharted 3 is undertracked in EMEAA, I bet it would be 200k TOP.
Such a massive growth in EMEAA is unrealistic, and thinking it is undertracked almost 2:1 is just a hopeful wish.
