Activision doesn't own Blizzard. They are a joint company. However, Activision is smart enough to leave Blizzard alone. If they really just bought up Blizzard, then we would see a WoW expansion, a new StarCraft and a new Diablo every single year.

The only reason they merged anyway was because Activision was hemoragging money because of Guitar Hero being an overpriced piece of shit.

I knew they merged but I assumed Activision was the one that owned them.  I knew they were leaving Blizzard alone considering that is the best option.  However, I just assumed Activision owned Blizzard outright even though I should have known they just merged.  Is the situation such as Blizzard produces the games and Activision plubishes them?  Seems like a sticky situation for me.  I want to outright boycott them but it is hard to give up on Blizzard games.  I'm in a catch 22.

I've seen this video months ago. How is this new?

The point for Activision is that it sells another million. The point for me and other Wii gamers is we can now be allowed to play and pay for, on an annual basis, the same game with a different skin that all the HD mugs enjoy.

Nice insite for us HD mugs lol

:) Now us Wii owners can be mugs on an annual basis, alongside those that buy each iteration of FIFA, PES, CoD and so on.

I am one such mug. I'll see the usual bunch online next Friday - Paul, Uno, TWRoO etc.

:)

OFFTOPIC: Can we tag users so they know we've mentioned them? If not, get on it ioi.

WTF was this dumb crap?! it was just a video of the damn box. So the game is out in less than a week and we still have seen nothing of the Wii version??? Thats weird. And no screen shots from the back of the box dont count

That's how they've done it every year, except for World at War in 2008 which was featured at Nintendo's E3 that year. Especially with Black Ops, there was no proof that the game was even on Wii until it actually hit shelves

If you take that into account, the million Black Ops sold is quite impressive

depends on how you look at it, I dont think its impressive at all, considering how long it actually took to get to that milestone. Either one of the hD versions did a million in minutes?? Wii version, months. thats just me

If the online is really as bad as Sethnintendo said is what, i would really like to know who in the right mind would buy this version if they had a choice. Superior controls mean nothing when you can barely run the damn game. I would just buy Goldeneye and call it a day. If you already have it, keep playing that might be as good as it gets

Blizzard publishes it's own games as well. StarCraft II was fully developed and published by Blizzard and you can bet that it will be the same with Diablo III and Heart of the Swarm. My SCII box doesn't even have the word Activision anywhere on it.
