don't think so,but if MS don't make a price-cut,2012 q1 is very likely

Sorry guys... I just got sick and can't update the thread.
Anyway... 3.7m was expected after NPD, Nintendo and GFK numbers... my previous prediction was 3.4m but after the good news over 3.5 was expected.
And why the division had loss is almost impossible to know... all the Sony produts are in this division.
Congrats Sony.

Nah, for that to happen the ps3 would have to sell exceptionally well and the x360 would have to sell very poorly which is quite unlikely to happen.
edit: but with good marketing they could maybe closen the gap a little bit more. but since its sony, fat chance of getting a good marekting push.

Well, that includes all of their consumer products. They list the reasons for the lower sales/loss, I'm assuming in order of importance. The top 3 reasons were lower LCD TV sales, exchange rates, and lower PC sales.

Wait!... [cue in the violins] Now..., knock yourself out!
I wonder why they expected 6M of PSP and 4M of PS2 for whole FY. Both are already healthy above 50% of this target.

Shipped number means that we have around 1.5 million PS3's setting on shelves. Number seems about right for this time of the year.

Simply beyond Impressive in my view.. wasnt expecting such a good results.. wander how they will do next quarter.? will they break their previous record of 6.5M shipped..

Idk. I would think so, but that's about what they had for the 360, but now they adjusted it up to be ~362K on shelves. VGC has ~1.11 mil PS3's on shelves. And while I think it's logical there would be more PS3's on shelves, with it being shipped to a few more countries, I don't think it would be ~750K more. I think we are going to see a few more adjustments when all is said and done.
