The wii lost 140k in Japan but gained 70k in others so it sofend the blow.

Those thinking that Vgchartz numbers are credible are just delusional, they may be credible in the future, but that time is a long way away. Very faint indication (at best) purposes only is what Vgchartz numbers are useful for. |
ioi is close enough most weeks when compared to paid sales trackers.. that is more than enough for me to trust that these numbers are a good indication of the general trend of hardware sales, and is the only reason i continue coming to this site..
So apparently i'm delusional
(I posted this in the "Famitsu Japan Game Sales 2007-12-24/ 2007-12-30 and Sales" news already):
Shouldn't ioi maybe round off all his numbers to the nearest thousands digit? Obviously, the numbers are extrapolations and may very well be off by ±30% or more, so why pretend to have single digit accuracy?
Currently playing: NSMB (Wii)

Not true, on a overall basis they are very accurate, within 10-15% accuracy, only on a weekly/monthly basis are they every really off, and they are improving, for what they cost, they are an amazing value
Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

For what they cost? Dude, that doesn't matter. The numbers are not credible and should not be trusted. This is fact.
There is a reason why mentioning Vgchartz numbers on IGN, Neogaf etc... = Instant joke material. Not accurate. Improving? Maybe, Accurate enough to be trusted? Definitely not.

So according to your credible sources, what is the current worldwide sales for the ds?
