It's not a coincidence. Nintendo and Sony fans are generally way too involved into their fandom from what I've experienced this far. Then again I haven't seen much of it on VGChartz lately so that's a good thing. David Jeffe said it well himself:

I'm done buying what a company wants me to buy (I was done a few years ago actually). I just buy good games wherever they are, period. The whole "I like this game because it's on my favorite company's platform" is really just dumb. Lots of games/movies like Uncharted came out years ago like Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones. Tomb Raider has nobody ever complaining so if something like this happened, it just seems because it's a Sony exclusive all of a sudden it becomes part of some untoucheable cloud with some people. It's insane.

And no, we don't remember this shit happening for Gears of war, and your upset attitude also proves the matter a bit. Instead shouldn't you be facepalming at all the retarded comments scooped up from that pile of tard?

cliffy cried like a little bitch when his game was reviewed in a certain way and so did gears fans... this has nothing to do with one particular company its a problem that is spread across gaming in general

Really buddy, a joker laugh for a side comment made by okay an important figure at Epic games, but nonetheless a side comment? Bash ahead I guess.

I think Torillian's example quotes were more à propos, yet even then the comment count on the article he mentioned was  273 total, compare that to a total of 450 comments for UC3. Again I mentioned relative noise intensity and no I didn't hear about the Gears whinning though I know there is some for all games and I admit I should be aware of the GOW3 bitching simply because it's a super-hyped game, but I was simply arguing that the bitching seemed to be larger for this Sony exclusive.

All in all I'm just saying in general the sensitive behavior is really unpleasant and it seems higher in the PS community. Again I insist I may be wrong, but it is my impression, it's up to you to show me I'm wrong to think that, with good arguments. And no, that doesn't mean I think all Sony fans are like that, matter of fact I think most Sony fans on VGChartz are on the contrary quite versed in gaming and mature. It's just a general impression for now.

Apart from that I also joined in the debate Kantor brought up about the nature of the review and I believe I brought up sensible points as to why the review was legit, even if it upsets some. I know that one way or another when I get a PS3 and I can afford all those games UC is the first series I will play - maybe after the ICO HD remake or any possible eventual HD remake of FFVII or VIII. :B So no this has nothing to do with my personal interest in the game or the series in general in case you thought so...

what can i say? it amuses me... anyway in terms of sony fans being more sensitive well thats your opinion, however, for me all i'll say is that given the right conditions anyone will react a certain way, its not as if, for example, sony fans are a overeactive lower breed of humans whereas microsoft fans are a superior breed... no, we are all people and will react if someone does something that we find offensive although in this case and many other cases i believe the reaction was uncalled for or even that there was not even a need for a reaction

btw cliffy was doing the exact same thing this thread was created about bashing review scores

Damnit! and I was sure that a Skyward Sword 8/10 was going to win the interwebz meltdowns competitions. Looks like it's going to have a hard time beating Uncharted 3 meltdowns after all.

I didn't hear a whisper about Eurogamer's 8/10 for Gears 3. So clearly the fault there lies with Gears fans not being nearly passionate enough. For shame.

it'll be fun on the bun.  If it can match up with the time I gave Tales of Symphonia 2 a 7ish score (can't honestly remember the exact score or bothered to look it up) I'll be surprised.
