Markus "Notch" Persson has confirmed via Twitter that the console version of Minecraft,announced during E3 for Xbox 360, will be exclusive to Microsoft's system (meaning no PSN or WiiWare versions). The game will arrive on Xbox Live in the spring of 2012.

Those heading to MineCon in Las Vegas next month will be able to try out the Xbox 360 version. The PC version is also being completed, having already sold millions in its beta state. Those heading to MineCon will receive alpha codes for Mojang's Scrolls and Cobalt.

Well we already know that it was going to be console exklusive. And this is more of delay right? Because at E3 they said Winter 2011.

Its not really exclusive if its on the PC.

I am actually curious how this is going to turn out. Will it have Mod support? Will there be cross platform play on a server? Can I create my own server and host it from my 360? Will I be able to add mods to the server?

I run a Minecraft server on my computer, and I believe these things are a must for it to do well. As I couldn't imagine this game without any of those things

It says console exclusive in the title...and that's exactly what it is.

OT: I never like Minecraft so this is pretty mehish for me... I know a lot of other people that will get it though.

Looks good. Take your time no need to rush unless your Square Enix and still haven't released FFXIII versus.

I disagree with your meaning of "console exclusive" but I also disagree with the people who say "console exclusives" mean nothing when comparing libraries.
Anywho, Minecraft!!!!
