I thought E1 was great, the church scenes made me groan a little, but overall it was very compelling and well-written, the boy being shot at the end was a huge surprise to me, hopefully it will continue to have those surprises throughout the whole season.

Even though they may not have believed or were even athiest before the zombie infection took over, I am sure now they are willing to give anything some hope. Even Dexter last night did a small prayer in his hour of need! So the writers adding this made sence. It just took way too much of the episode. When was it going to end!

Yeah I guess so, it's just that, jesus is such an arsehole if he exists in the walking dead, everyones a dead cannibal! xD Nah it's not a big deal, maybe even I'd get desperate enough to give praying a chance. But I couldn't stop thinking all the time they are wasting in the church they could be looking for the little girl, and the atheist in me was hoping someone in the group would have a witty comment about the irony of the situation.

EDIT: And I doubt any of them would be atheist, they're living in the south aren't they? xD

That's pretty much how it works for a lot of people. They may not even be praying to any specific deity, just anything when the shit hits the fan. For an athiest though, the zombie apocalypse would probably be further evidence that there is no god.

@Andrespetmonkey, did you see last night's episode or are you across the pond?

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

The only people from season one I could see coming back are Merle and the black guy and his son from the very first episode. I think they made too much of Rick talking on the walkie talkie to not have him return, probably save someone's life when you least expect it. And we already talked about Merle, leader of a zombie herd, lol.

Yup, I've only seen the first episode since I'm in England

In that case they would all be baptist. I lived in Tennesse for a while and there was a baptist church on every corner.

Maybe none of them were christian and this is there punishment! Left behind or something. ;)

Or maybe it's because they aren't muslim, maybe we'll see a spinoff series set in the middle east where everyone is completely fine xD

Oh yeah and I also thought the discovery of the zombies shambling in herds was a cool detail, gives the zombies in this a little more originality.

Ok so I don't want to hear about how there was no action this week. First things first....poor ol' fat Otis. I was suspicious that something was up with Shane when all of a sudden he arrived back by himself with a thin story about what happened to fat boy. Then when he spotted the bald patch on his head, I knew something was up. Either way, it was pretty fucked up what he did and yet I can kind of see the logic in it. I just can't help feel bad for Otis, damn that was messed up.
I'm growing tired of Dale's "concern" for Andrea. He's fucking pathetic, like an ex-boyfriend or some shit. This after she laid into his ass last week. I mean I still believe her reasoning about not having a choice and blah blah blah is bullshit but Dale needs to chill already.
Speaking of Andrea, I think that Daryl is gonna end up poking her. Daryl is the man BTW, I have no beef with him. He's like fuck it, the world has turned to shit but I'm still here so I'm gonna get shit done in my time. Actually, that wasted arrow thing was lame, I mean cut the zombie down and get your arrow back already.

I'm stoked about the well dwelling mutant next week, that alone could be enough for me.

Did youwatch the after show? They had an extra clip to the well part! What is the well part all about anyways? Kind of strange.

You mean Talking Dead? If so then no not yet. I have it on the DVR and usually watch it on Mondays.

I just shook my head after seeing that final scene with Shane and Otis. I hope he ends up like he does in the comics.

As for Dale, I think last episode was his low point, but he asked her for forgiveness at the end, and realized that he was being way too overbearing on Andrea. So I think he's learned his lesson. I've always enjoyed his "wise old man" archetype anyways.

I still don't particularly like Andrea. Most of the time she's just throwing a pity party and thinks she's the only one who's going through hell.

And yes, Daryl is my favorite character as well. It seems that most characters like Shane and Andrea have been pulled down by the events of the Walking Dead, while Daryl has risen to the occasion. I mean, he's the one who's encouraging the group that they wont give up looking for the missing girl. Love the dude (and the cross-bow is awesome).

Definitely the best episode of the season thus far, and the ending was truly a great (but hard to watch) one. R.I.P. Otis...

I can't stand Lori. I hope Rick dumps her sorry ass when he finds out about her and Shane, and I hope she'll be eaten by zombies soon after. Also, I think Sarah Wayne Callies can't act to save her life.
