Forums - General - The Walking Dead season 2 thread **SPOILERS**

i hate the relationship between maggie and glen, hope shane breaks Andrea's heart, want to see shane be more bad ass, shanes doing a great job of that though

the relationship between shane and rick remind me of lock and jack from another epic and some ways similar show lost

season 2 was ok, so far liked the 1st one more, they spent to much time at the farm, 1st episode of 2nd season was really good, then the rest was less bout the zombies and more about characters fucking each other and looking for little girls. overall a handful of episodes were to soft for me and off from what the show has showed us in season 1. still watch it religiously its not like theirs anything better on

While I would agree that the first season was better, I think the second season is very good probably for the reasons you guys are upset with it ...

I acknowledge that it sounds pretty silly to talk about "Reality" in a series about drama but one of the things I hate about network television drama series is how unrealistic the drama in the story becomes. Shows are always being pushed to have more "dramatic" storylines to draw in ratings that it (eventually) devolves into a soap-opera. While it certainly has some pretty outrageous elements, the drama surrounding the farm has mostly been fairly realistic ...

I know there are people out there who would prefer this, but if it was on a major network they would have already introduced their pet-zombie sidekick who the survivors freed from the illuminati who developed a cure for the zombie plague but it was stolen by the stone-masons. Of course the Stone Masons would agree to give the cure to Rick if he could round up the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, who have become the leaders of a secret underground society with headquarters in the lost city of Atlantis.

Yeah I would prefer a great fight with zombies and such however the story is sooo sad and emotional.

I don't expect Shane to fall in love with Andrea(I don't particularly care for her personality. How did she even survive the apocolypse? I am off topic...), but the best way to maintain his kick-butt image while still having respect is to let her down gently and like a gentleman. Calling her a "stupid b****" didn't really help....:/

EDIT: Thinking of different characters. Whoops. :P

man shane and andrea both piss me off. Theyre both too selfish and considering the situation their in that really is a piss take. Shanes a heartless bastard again only thinking about himself and Andrea is a little whiney bitch who needs to get a grip and start thinking of others. There i said it in my opinion they fix up or they die (hopefully Rick will kill Shane)

I agree drama is just too overdramatic nowadays :(

Rick is probably my favorite character after all the madness he seems to be the true voice of reason, some crazy stuff this season can't wait for February!

Ok dudes. First off, I apologize for flaking out on my own thread the past couple of weeks.

All I can say is WOW at last weeks mid-season finale. I did not, in a million years even think for a second about Sophia being in that barn. When they showed that first shot of her from behind my jaw hit the floor. What a good job they did with that because I was so sick of that angle for like the past 4 episodes but it was well worth it. It's funny too because by the time she came out, I was emotionally torn about what had happened leading up to that moment, so crazy. And then, Rick having to draw Mr. Python and put one through her noggin', that shit was crazy as well. I think he just took a big step forward in regaining his role as the leader with that move. I mean Shane was really starting to run shit there with the peak of his power just happening only a minute before Sophia met her end.
Yeah Shane, holy shit, I don't know whether to love him for his cold harsh black and white views that would probably serve one well in that world or hate him for the same reason and just being a bastard in general. It's like one minute I wanted Dale to blow his chest out and the next, I couldn't help agreeing with him when he went off at the barn. That dude's character has me all fucked up. I think though he's mostly a bastard and I think Rick is gonna smoke his ass eventually even though Rick himself is going to be a little more like Shane going forward. At least I think he is because he hinted at that recently saying something about living by values that don't matter anymore or something like that.

I also noticed in that end scene how unanimously the group acted in killing the barn walkers. It was almost like they liked it. Your boy Herschel is out of his fucking mind too. That dude is done, his farm has been taken over, don't be surprised to see his ass in a tent next episode. I can hear him spewing some bullshit now about how they were people and blah blah blah. Rick's gonna be like, "outside bro".

I have thoroughly enjoyed every episode thus far with little disappointment and most of that is just nitpicking. Even the characters that I don't like or whatever is a good thing, I understand the necessity. I can't wait to see the rest in Feb. and then season 3 and so on.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

Well we are back online. First off, I have to say I was wrong as could be about Herschel. I am glad that he's seeing the light though, it was a quick 180 but I'm glad it's happened, maybe he won't be so annoying now.

What can I say, another great episode. It's funny that those two Philly guys were far more threatening than the damn walkers could be. I mean with the walkers it's like, ok they want to eat me....that's it. Regular humans in that world is like, ok, they want to drink my water, fuck my wife, steal my guns, plot and scheme to take me over. That's worse than biting zombies. I'm so glad Rick bucked those dudes down. I knew right from the get go that there was going to be some gun play but I did think that Glen would be involved with his rifle. I guess Rick's cop's instincts just took over.
I'm guessing that Lori's little car accident will serve as an abortion for Rick's/Shane's baby, a nice and tidy way clean up that storyline. Also, that chic back at the farm who has a fever.......I'm gonna guess she'll become a walker even though it didn't look like she was bitten or scratched. Perhaps a new way to contract the walker virus.

I am a HUGE fan of this show, and the man who started it all Frank Darabont, but the second season is so far nowhere near as good as the first, and that's because they fired Frank Darabont. I still watch it and enjoy it but it's lost a step or two. Fuck you AMC for firing him.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.
