GT5's cockpit > FM4's cockpit and wow at GT5's skybox, unreal!

Please, do aim some attention to the level of detail in sense of speed transmitted to the cockpit..

Every single bump in GT5 transforms shockwaves to the suspension to work as hell, making the car going sideways, up down, front and back.

I miss this the most in Forza, where if you actually concentrate and look, you¨ll see that the most of the time the cockpit of Zonda is plain with the ground, sometimes a little bumpy. This lack of simulation is what seperates a sim from arcade racer.

^That comment says it all.

the sound is better in GT5. In F4 its like you're outside with the engine, and in GT5 you're hearing things from the outside within the car.

Outside of Forza, I like JRPG's and Sci-Fi shooters, so I probably have a bias towards Halo, Gears of War, Mass Effect, and even Resident Evil. However did you see me rant about Gears of War 3 when it came out? Or even Halo?

Forza is attacked far too much on this website, and I just feel the need to defend it because sometimes that insults are extremely biased and ignorant (don't need to brake in Forza 3 to corner, physics are a joke compared to GT5, and Forza 4 cars looking like GT5 Standard cars, and Premium cars are a whole new level). Forza being a better game AND being a game which matches my preferences of gameplay more I do defend it more then I should, but who else on this website will? I say 1 small comment on Uncharted 3 (a franchise I also like) and 5 people attack me. Who defends Forza?

I blame it on the rabid X360 fanboy (notice its just 1). Naturaly, when GT5 is attacked, all of the rabid Sony fanboys will come running in its defence. From this thread, I notice that many of the GT5 fanboys are happy with their game and dont really give much care if F4 did better review wise (except from the moer hardcore rabid mouth foaming fanboys). Now here comes this particular X360 fanboy posting cherry picked stuff to make GT5 look bad. Naturally all hell will break lose. Yeah, I think thats pretty much it, thats what started all this crap load of shit.

As for U3, you bet your ass they'll eat you alive!!!!!! Hell, I no longer have any current gen home console but I still think Uncharted is awesome and I will curse you to damnation for speaking against Uncharted!! lol!  Uncharted is the 1st and only 3rd person shooter I actually enjoyed playing and finishing with a male protagonist (I prefere female heroines coz most of the time they look damn pretty and sexy! yeah, theres something really wrong with me.. must be coz I'm a maniac or something..)

It's an underappreciatted game.

Naw, I'm sure many here appreciate it. I'm sure that many PS360 owners here have both GT5 and F4 and are enjoying them both. Its most likely that many of the PS360 owners are not too biased and are busy playing.  I myself think it looks really good and would really want to try it..to bad I dont have any curent gen consoles...so yeah, i take that back, its UUUGGGLY!!!! And I curse all of you who can play it and GT5! I HATE YOU ALL! (I am one sad sour grape!)

BTW attack Fire Emblem....... or Front Mission. I will RAGE!!! I am biased towards those franchises, that I cannot deny.

Fire Emblem is cool. Front Mission is crap!!! YEAH! take that!!

Actually I think the GT5 guys came in and started cherry picking first. However I did learn a lot. 1 player Forza 4 looks different then multiple, and GT5 drops in FPS in rain and night time conditions.

Uncharted campaign is the best you can get outside of RPG's. I said multiplayer wasn't anything special.

As for Front Mission ................... I'll find you.....lol

Aldro I still think Forza Motorsport 4 interior looks better. In that video however the interior lighting was low, never seen it so bad before. Look up the other FM4 vs. GT5 Pagani video in this thread, in that one the FM4 interrior model looks much better. As for the rest of the video, the track detail and audio are better in FM4, even on my dinky laptop speakers. The environment in GT5 looks like a painting, and the artist didn't have all the colours he needed.

Wow you are critical.. At least in the Forza in car view you can see below the very top of the dash, and actually look up other videos because Forza has better in car textures then GT5.

In both games the car rattles in car, don't know what point you are making about the bumps in either game. Both games are good sims, don't bring this up again.

deskpro Actually if you look up a 458 Italia reving video and then play Forza 4. Forza does a great job of modeling sounds. I can contest a few cars sound spot on from the inside, probably a bit quiet actually. Cars are loud, even in the inside, and when you have a V10 or whatever mid engined car, expect it to be loud. When you get out of the in car view in Forza, the engines sound even crisper, which is what they should.

In fact some mid engine car manufacterers leave an open gap between the driver and the engine to make the car sound louder on the inside. In the Lotus Evora they do this because they can only make the car so loud and still meet EU standards. I've heard this is the case with many mid-engined cars.

That's the point ... the video shows otherwise .

Off. My new HDTV arrived... tonight I will put my pictures here (and check the F40) .

Most people acknowledge Forza 4 is a better game. The arguement is on the looks only.

I dunno, they still look about on par in the newer video, and the detail outside the car is much better in Forza 4.

The previous video Forza 4 looked much much better, and in a lot of comparision photos by Booh, Forza 4 still looks much much better.

You have not played Forza 4, and for the longest time argued that Forza 4 car detail is the same as standard cars in GT5. I think you lost all credibility when you said that as everyone in the thread said to let it go.

Play Forza 4 before you make any more strong claims in about GT5 graphics. You will be blown away, when I first saw Forza 4, I just didn't think this was possible this gen. Specifically the ray scattering effect (light reflecting) being so accurate.

What about the other vidoes?

- GT5 looks a little bit more authentic when you look at the cars, Forza 4 looks prettier but perhaps a bit overdone (tie)

- GT5 has a much better interior view. Sure, it has mostly crappy shadows, but Forza 4 doesn't have any shadows at all and it looks too smooth. (GT5 wins)

- GT5 has better visual road physics as you can feel every bump at high speed, even in a YouTube video. Forza 4 is too flat. (GT5 wins)

- Forza 4 has much, much better track detail. GT5's trees look ridiculous. (Forza 4 wins)

- GT5's skyline looks more spectacular, but lacks bloom. Forza 4's looks perhaps a little more bland but compensates with lighting. (tie)

- Forza 4 definitely has better car sounds than GT5. GT5 lacks punch, whereas Forza 4 sounds really raw and authentic. (Forza 4 wins)

Forza 4 has much better performance. It's rock steady at 60fps and has no screen tearing. GT5 is often smooth but can be a mixed bag when things get rough. (Forza 4 wins)

Overall audiovisual end result: GT5 wins 2/7, Forza 4 wins 3/7, 2/7 are ties.

I'd have to say Forza 4 edges out GT5 slightly on the audiovisual front, especially because performance is defintely the most important factor and Forza 4 wins that one with quite a margin.

I disagree just the bolded part... Forza 4 (just listening the videos) has the sound over the real to look like the cars are more powerful than they... GT5 is more  authentic inside or outside of the car.
