i had an iphone 4, and its just overpriced and overrated. got a galaxy s2 instead and its the best phone i've ever had.

True. Benchmarks aren't relevant, at least for me. Most of the time, I can't tell if the phone is running a dual or a single processor.

Whilst personally I am waiting until March for the XPERIA Duo (maybe a Sony phone!) as that is when my contract expires, waiting a week to at the least have a look at the timing of the Nexus Prime (or Galaxy Nexus) launch is probably the best ideo

The Arc S is meant to be a fantastic phone, and I do think some of the others are too big, where as the Arc S is just lovely and thin with a very light skin, great camera, great screen and a few bonus Sony things...


I have two open contracts. One for me and one for my wife... however, I wait for sales so I won't snag them on launch. Probably closer to xmas as there will be some kind of sale.

All four of my last smartphones were all free because I simply wait for the best deals. Patience saves you money!!!

when did SunSpider Javascript considered "benchmark" test?

frankly, my galaxy S2 running using Opera browser yield similar test result with 4S

spec wise, 1.2GHz > 800Mhz A5

"right now" is the key words... once Android 4.0 ICS drops on the Nexus Prime it will beat the 4S.... heck the Nexus S will probably be at par or close to it in many of those tests.

Shouldn't you run Opera browser on 4S too to be able to compare?

Phones with 1ghz processors are > A4, yet iphone 4 runs as smooth (smoother in many many cases).

and I don't know what tests should be considered benchmarks but the website list many of them
