Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Major Nelson: Announcing the 320 GB Media Hard Drive

lol THAT is bloody expensive for a 320 GB!!!! I mean I could get a 500GB harddrive for more than half of that price.

Haha...

You actually could get a 3TB HDD for your PC and then stream everything from it. $120-125

This is a major ripoff. I don't see why it'd cost that much.

Too expensive and not required.

Do people really store ALL their media on a gaming machine ? Be it 360 or PS3

Store it elsewhere and stream.

DLC Downloaded games.  Takes around 200 GB of my HDD.

How many freakin' games do you have downloaded? I know most downloaded games on PSN take anywhere from 300MB to 1GB.

That's still rather expensive, even with the included game. Lego Star Wars III retails for $20 now, so you're looking at $110 for the HDD. You can get a 500GB HDD for your laptop for like $40-50, or maybe even cheaper now.

I would be tempted by this but I don't install all my games so got a ways to go before its full.

no use to me, still got tons of space on my 120gb

I just bought a 250GB for $60 on Amazon so I'm good.

I could get a 500GB for $50 for my PS3.... this seems like a rip off.

Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.

I think I have over 150 left on my 250, I do install games though.

This is waaay ovepriced.

I'm pretty sure this HDD wont work with PS3...

relevance?

Probably would work if you cracked it open and took out what will no doubt just be a normal laptop HDD inside, they certainly were on the old 360's
