Looks like the Xbox could still pull this off but unfortunately it is heading towards the statistical tie territory.

Winner of the 2010 VGC Holiday sales prediction thread with an Average 1.6% accuracy rating. I am indeed awesome.

Kinect as seen by PS3 owners ...if you can pick at it   ...post it ... Did I mention the 360 was black and Shinny? Keeping Sigs obscure since 2007, Passed by the Sig police 5July10.

If it ends up being a statistical tie (it's headed that way), then who would claim the moral victory?

1 million next week for xbox in americas alone??? maybe... that would be very impresive. The end of this year its gonna be interesting.

Probably down to shipments.

Or simply saying the PS3 or 360 won, due to being the higher number despite the "tie".

Or number of Weeks won during the Year.

Ryuzaki57: ^^ Serious?  Yes, it'll be a sombre limo ride to the bank for M$. Finger pointing and harsh words about broken promises. Thank good ol Uncle Bill for the $50B stuffed in the cookie jar... and the breadbox, cupboards, mattresses and most of the basement. Hope they don't get their credit rating downgraded with Sony, Japan and the United States of America (Canada not included).

A little over half a million to go! I do love a close race! Now lets all hope that VGC doesn't screw up like the past few X-mas severely undertracking the PS3 while overtracking the Xbox360 to an extent where it sold more than it shipped.

3 different options, that benefit both consoles, is clutching at straws.

Okay.

We're not talking about your signature here.

This thread and whatever numbers VGchartz puts up doesn't matter anyway. Microsoft's claim was for 2011 shipments. So until both Sony and Microsoft release their shipments of 2011 there won't be a clear 'winner'. Either way, it's going to be very close.

August. Sales, not shipments.

"Eurogamer: So when you say number one you mean sales?

Chris Lewis: I mean purely install base with consumers. We don't count units unless they're actually out there and installed. This isn't shipments. This isn't revenue. This is install base of consoles."
