All three companies know exactly how much they and their competitors sell. Nintendo is the only one that publicly shares its information though.

360 is a JUGGERNAUT............... the sales gap between the origional xbox and the 360 is now staggering...!!!!!!

I missed a couple of pages but I would like to point out that, of the comments I've seen, when it was reported that the PS3 won 2011, Microsoft fans said that Microsoft did a good job anyway and congratulated Sony on a well deserved win. Now we are getting reports that Sony may not have won 2011. I would hope that, if this is true, Sony fans show the same level of respect.

Love it, when PS3 was ahead by a marginal amount (Around 200-300k) it was unacceptable to use the term "statistical tie", because PS3 has won the year instead, regardless of how small the gap was. Now the chance that 360 is ahead, we'll no doubt hear the cries of statistical tie.

I'd say it depends on how much 500k+ and it's a victory rather than a tie.

@Seece any chance of those good old posts where you go back in the thread and revive the dumbest comments and post them in one post? I think for this thread it'll be hilarious.
