Microsoft crumbled the PS Slim momentum when they released the Xbox Slim. That momentum was pretty much gone entirely for the year. Also, Microsoft Didn't survive the PS Move. The PsMove was never a threat, especially not last year.

Not really. If MS didn't charge for online, they probably would sell an extra two to three million units maybe. This wouldn't even come close to countering the billions they make from Live.

Last year's sales were mainly effected by events that took place last year and the few years preceeding it. Playstation dominance from 1994 to 2006 had very little effect on what consumers bought last year. It is irrelevant.

Don't forget about the ApocalyPS3 (PSN hack) it was down for a solid month. I know a lot of people bought a 360 because of the hack. if anything the PS3 really held it down in 2011 and was still able to come out on top.

Sounds like plenty of excuses everywhere. End of the day, most of what anyone says here will not matters the least bit. It is mostly pointless opinionated bs not backed by any worthwhile facts. Bottom line will be all that matters at the end.

Competiton drives innovation. Hopefully all the companies continue to do well and continue to produce games most of us would enjoy.

Really  ? I remember a lot of meltdows after Nintendo showed sales date from trackers with Move launch period.
