These PS3 fans have to make you laugh. This is why they arent respected in the industry, whereas 360 fans like myself are. LOGIC..... Did the 360 have a price drop? Did the PS3 have a price drop? Ok now that we know that, the PS3 had a 1.5 million lead almost evaporated in a span of 2 months and its either going to be a dead heat, or a win for the ps3 with by about 100,000 units. We also wont know officially for about 3 months, anyone trying to say that the PS3 is on the same footing as the 360 is fooling themselves. The 360 will have a price drop in 2012, you will never see the PS3 catch up to the 360 in terms of hardware, software, and in motion gaming. The 360 has beaten the PS3 this gen, it is over, the trending is now with the 360 for the rest of the gen. Stop fooling yourself PS3 fanboys, you lost, deal with it. The education of these nitwits is getting tiresome, maybe 2012 will be different as the 360 will be putting its big foot on the throat of the PS3. OH Yeah and for those who dont know me, well consider yourself shortchanged, Im the man who predicted the success of the Kinect way before any of you. 15 million sales? EPIC WIN. Hows them Move sales lol

Honestly you think the PS3 is going to outsell the 360 by over 1 million over the next 3-4 months. I say it takes through next summer before PS3 gets back where it was when the 360 started the comeback this year.  Then guess what.  Holiday sale cycles start up again.  And while this year the 360 was sold with gift cards next holiday I expect a full fledged $100 price cut on the $299 and higher models.

I still expect that with VGC numbers releasing next week the PS3 will eek out the win. Still I find it very interesting if we look at the Dec 24th numbers closer in the areas that VGC specifically gives detailed numbers the lead for the 360 is much larger.

360 USA+UK+France+Germany+Japan = 981,415
PS3 USA+UK+France+Germany+Japan = 595,002

360 Unknown Americas = 136,593
PS3 Unknown Americas = 68,115

360 Unknown Europe = 97,793
PS3 Unknown Europe = 211,172 (Sells more than the known areas of Europe)

360 Unknown AP/MEA = 33,194
PS3 Unknown AP/MEA = 96,808

This has been the case all holiday season. With this countries margin of error far higher than the rest of the sales estimates it is very clear that the PS3 victory will end up being disputed and easily within marginal error to call this year a tie.

So the PS3 is only 238,000 ahead for the year so far with one week to go, if the deal i just got an a console upgrade is anything to go by the shops will be heavily pushing 360 consoles - perhaps giving the 360 a chance to snatch the year in the last week :o

Haha wow :) its funny how all the 360 people magically come out out of the woodwork this time of year, like last year. Then the first week ps3 starts outselling 360 again they will dissapear. :) anyway i did my part helping the 360 this year. I bought 3 xbox 360 with the kinect and gift card. 2 from walmarts and one from bestbuy... i kept one and gave the other two as christmas gifts. But other than kinect for me, i found that the 360 games/exclusives arent anywhere near ps3. So i still say the ps3 is the better system. My opinion of course. But lots of congrats to them both... woot woot :)

No they just stick to their own forums usually because they get bored of the large number of trolls on this site using any excuse to attack them.

i always break stuff down analytically lol..

is ps3 the better system or better system to have

sure bluray allow you to stuff more into a game nothing multiple disk cant handle (stupid ms)

i think ps3 just has better developers.  just like the not so ps3 fanboys would love to see what epic does with ps3 the not so x360 fanboys would love to see what naughty dog would do with the box.

i can guarantee naughty on x360 would do an amazing job.  theres a reason unchartered was up for goty and its not because of the ps3 its because naughty dog made the game excellent.

keep in mind all these developers have their own engines.

Its true though, Xbox is the much bigger success either way. PS3 had a price cut, it has Japan and it had a ton of exclusives, something Xbox didnt have and its still a tie. Roles reversed Xbox would have stomped the PS3.

Still dont forget Vgchartz arent very accurate, wait for the official numbers to see if theres anything over or under tracked.
