**Edit** (After reading the source I better understand the service and was right. These services aren't free I must have misunderstood the thread, because I read a later comment by Seece saying that they were free to Gold Subscribers I thought he ment that the services themselves were going to be free to Live Gold Subscribers. When in fact Gold subscribers will simply have access to purchase these services. Should have realized that because Zune's market place currently costs. As such I am not impressed at all with the programing announced, it offers nothing that I don't already have access to without a Live Gold account.

Yeah its no different than the iPad apps. I was excited to be able to watch CNN, TBS etc. on my iPad only to have to sign in with my non existant cable provider.
So if I am understanding this correctly, both Silver and Gold members will have access to almost ALL of that content without a subscription/fee? Obviously Hulu+, Netflix, and others require Gold, but the new TV offerings look like they are mostly available for free to all??

Yes it does. It offers a unified way to find content. It offers hands free control of playback and selection of content. With the way you can search with Bing and Kinect this is the start of something totatlly cool. Already today playback on Netflix, Hulu, and Zune is awesome.
The flaws today are that to find content you need to use a controller or remote. You need to search through the different providers separately. Now I want to watch "Big Bang Theory" I can say Bing: Big Bang Theory and results will include Netflix (Previous seasons), Hulu (Past episodes this season) , and Verizon or Comcast for upcoming episodes (if CBS is available).
I never once thought that all of a sudden for no additional cost that all these providers and providers to come would allow you access to their content by being a Xbox Gold subscriber.
.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Sounds useful for Kinect user, but I don't own Kinect. Also I could care less to be able to search like that since there is no way I could afford to subscribe to each of those services. Just to watch Big Bang Theory your example I need a NetFlix subscription, Hulu one and Verizon or Comcast. Since I only had NetFlix up until recently and can't afford to subscribe to all these different services the search capabilities are reduntant.

I'm going to wait to reserve judgment on this until I see it. It could be incredibly and will hopefully almost replace my DVR or it could be a lot of on demand stuff I really don't care to watch anyways.
I'm hoping netflix stops requiring a gold membership

They wont, but you can watch Netflix through Windows Media that doesn't require Gold.
This is quite awesome.
But sucks that Canada doesn't get ESPN. WTF am I going to to with Maple Leafs sports and entertainment?
